Job Title: Sr. Chemist - Metallurgy (Steel Foundry)

Location: Bhilai

Industry: Heavy Engineering / Steel Castings

Experience: 5 - 10 years in metallurgical lab operations within a foundry environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct chemical and spectrometric analysis of ferrous alloys and raw materials
• Supervise lab operations including sample preparation, wet analysis, and spectrometer calibration
• Monitor melting and casting parameters to ensure metallurgical integrity
• Perform sand, flux, and resin testing as per industry standards
• Maintain documentation for ISO, PED, and customer audits
• Collaborate with production teams for process control and quality improvement
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental protocols

Qualifications:

• B.E./M.Sc./B.Sc. in Metallurgy, Industrial Chemistry, or related field
• Hands-on experience with spectrometers, UTM, hardness testers, and metallography tools
• Strong analytical and documentation skills
