Job Description - Sr. Designer

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design and development of seasonal collections aligned with brand/customer requirements, ensuring high performance, creativity, and timely execution of all developments for export markets.
Develop design strategies (mood boards, concepts, and design presentations) and collections based on global trends, buyer briefs, and market intelligence in exports.
Conduct structured planning and strategy meetings with the team to ensure clarity of requirements and seamless workflow execution.
Drive end -to -end design processes including concept development, fabric selection, sourcing, sampling, finishing, and packaging with a focus on cost optimization and conversion.
Collaborate closely with international buyers to understand requirements, present collections, and obtain feedback for continuous improvement.
Independently handle design presentations for international clients, ensuring strong visual and commercial impact.
Oversee showroom presentation standards and ensure collections are displayed effectively for buyer interactions.
Support business development initiatives by contributing innovative design ideas and participating in client engagements.
Strengthen supply chain by reviewing vendor (including T2 suppliers) performance and initiating new developments aligned with latest trends.
Ensure proper documentation of design processes, developments, and team progress for tracking and efficiency.
Mentor and guide team members, addressing concerns and fostering a collaborative and growth -oriented environment.
Ensure effective inter -departmental coordination with merchandising and sampling teams for smooth execution.

Requirements

Skills Required:

- Proven experience in men’s, women's and kids wear design for export markets.

- Strong understanding of international fashion trends, buyer expectations, and global market dynamics.

- Hands -on experience in buyer handling and design presentations.

- Strong vendor network and sourcing knowledge across fabrics, trims, and finishes.

- Leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a team.

- Excellent communication and coordination skills.

- Should be well versed with - Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, (Clo 3D would be an added advantage).
