Sr. Engineer I (Manual Testing)

What You'll Do

• Analyze new features and improvements to define test scope, dependencies, and risk areas.

• Build, develop, and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.

• Complete functional, integration, regression, and system-level testing.

• Ensure completeness and accuracy of testing artifacts and checklists.

• Provide clear test status updates and defect metrics for releases.

• Record, monitor, and confirm defects using tools such as JIRA/Zephyr.

• Undertake comprehensive root cause assessments and supply useful feedback to development teams.

• Collaborate closely with developers to troubleshoot and validate fixes.

• Use debugging and profiling tools (e.g., Valgrind, Google Sanitizer) to identify performance and memory-related issues.

• Follow established QA processes and standards.

• Find opportunities to streamline workflows and improve testing efficiency.

• Contribute to improving test strategies and operational practices.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.

• 3-4 years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Engineering.

• Strong understanding of QA methodologies and software development lifecycles.

• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.

• Ability to read, comprehend, and examine application code to assist with testing and root cause analysis.

• Working knowledge of at least one scripting language (preferably Python).

• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools (JIRA, Zephyr, etc.).

• Hands-on debugging and troubleshooting experience using industry-standard tools.

• Experience with profiling tools like Valgrind and Google Sanitizer.

• Experience working with source control systems (e.g., Git).

• Ability to identify automation opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the gaming industry.

• Experience testing SDKs or development toolkits.

• Experience working in CI/CD environments.

• Exposure to automation.
