In this role you will be expected to suggest, promote, and leverage published standards to minimize environment complexity and ensure regulatory as well as license compliance. \n\n\n * Provide support for technologies maintained within the Unix/Linux compute platforms, including OpenShift\n * Partner globally with Micron IT Operations, Engineering, Security, and Architecture teams across I\u0026O and business units\n * Ensure adherence to SOX, security, and regulatory compliance requirements\n * Drive innovation, automation, and standardization of compute and container platforms\n * Use scripting languages and tools to automate tasks, system builds, and change management (Ansible, shell, Python, etc.)\n * Perform proactive monitoring, health checks, and capacity planning for Linux and OpenShift environments\n * Contribute as necessary to IT project execution\n * Continually work to improve Linux compute, OpenShift environment.\n * Propose and implement system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of systems\n * Collaborate with IT Operations Manager to continually improve operations through routine monitoring of system performance metrics, review of system log files, trend analysis, configuration, incident, and problem management processes\n * Support Redhat Satellite, Ansible Automation Platform, LDAP, OpenShift \u0026 Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, and GCP) based Linux Operating Systems.\n * Act as a technical mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers\n\n\n\nQualifications / Experience\n\n * At least 5 years of managing enterprise Unix/Linux solutions, preferably large scale inclusive of Physical, Virtual, Public and Private Cloud.\n * Strong hands\u2011on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 8 \u0026 9) troubleshooting and administration\n * Strong Scripting Skills in atleast one of the following (Ansible, Shell, Python, etc.)\n * Solid understanding of OS provisioning, patching, hardening, and end\u2011to\u2011end troubleshooting\n * Experience supporting Red Hat OpenShift (installation, operations, upgrades, and troubleshooting) \n * Exposure to AWS, Azure, and GCP platforms \n * Experience with Red Hat Satellite and Ansible Automation Platform \n * Basic to intermediate understanding of LDAP configuration and integration \n * Knowledge of SOX security and compliance requirements \n * Strong understanding of the OSI model and networking fundamentals \n * Demonstrated ability to automate repetitive tasks to improve consistency and reliability \n * Familiarity with AI\u2011assisted workflows and tools such as Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot, or similar to enhance productivity \n * Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal) \n * Proven ability in decision\u2011making, prioritization, and influencing without authority \n * Strong customer\u2011centric mindset and commitment to continuous improvement\n\n\n\nEducation:\n\nB.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, other technical disciplines, or equivalent relevant work experience.\n\nJob Profile(s):\n\nSystem Manager E3\n\nRelocation level: (TBD)\n\nBefore Getting Started \nPlease review Micron\u2019s Internal Job Application Policy on your regional PeopleNow Career Opportunities page before searching and applying for jobs.
