Job Description – NPI Engineer

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail -oriented Manufacturing NPI Engineer to support product manufacturing activities from customer requirement analysis through process implementation and production support. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, hands -on manufacturing experience, and excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with customers and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand customer product requirements and design manufacturing processes to meet quality, cost, and delivery expectations.
  
• Prepare and maintain manufacturing process flow documents and work instructions.
  
• Create and manage Bill of Materials (BOM) and upload/update data in ERP systems.
  
• Design and develop production jigs and fixtures to improve manufacturing efficiency and consistency.
  
• Implement Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and ensure all updates are properly documented and executed.
  
• Resolve technical and process -related queries with customers and internal stakeholders.
  
• Manage product configuration and maintain accurate configuration records.
  
• Coordinate customer communication related to manufacturing processes, engineering updates, and production status.
  
• Support First Article Inspection (FAI) activities and drive process improvements to achieve high production yield.
  
• Collaborate with production, quality, procurement, and engineering teams to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes and engineering practices.
  
• Proven work experience in the manufacturing industry.
  
• Good understanding of BOM management, ERP systems, ECN implementation, and configuration management.
  
• Experience in jig and fixture development.
  
• Strong problem -solving and analytical skills.
  
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
  
• Ability to work independently and in cross -functional teams.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  
• Experience with FAI documentation and production validation processes.
  
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement practices is an advantage.
