The role requires working in Linux development environments, building scalable automation solutions, and contributing to upstream workflows.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Work hands\u2011on with Linux systems and internals in development and validation environments.\n * Develop automation using Shell scripting (sh) and Python.\n * Design and maintain automation frameworks using upstream and open\u2011source tools.\n * Apply software design principles and design patterns to build reusable and scalable solutions.\n * Use and contribute to open\u2011source projects and tools.\n * Collaborate with cross\u2011functional teams on Linux platform and automation initiatives.\n\n\n\nLAVA Infrastructure \u0026 Worker Automation: Experience setting up and maintaining LAVA test infrastructure, including lava\u2011dispatcher configuration (device\u2011types/devices/health checks), and automating LAVA worker deployment\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 Bachelor\u0027s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Test Engineering or related work experience. \nOR \nMaster\u0027s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Test Engineering or related work experience. \nOR \nPhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. \n \n\u2022 1+ year of work or academic experience with Software Test or System Test, developing and automating test plans and/or tools (e.g., Source Code Control Systems, Continuous Integration Tools, and Bug Tracking Tools).\n\nRequired Skills\n\n * Strong experience with Linux environment and internals.\n * Proficiency in Shell scripting and Python.\n * Experience with automation, CI/CD, and upstream tools.\n * Good understanding of software design patterns and framework design.\n * Familiarity with Git and open\u2011source development workflows.\n\n\n\nApplicants: Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
