Job Title: QA Automation Engineer / Senior QA Engineer / SDET

Experience Required: 4 – 8 years

Location: All Birlasoft Offices across India

Employment Type: Full-time

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer with a strong background in API testing and automation frameworks. In this role, you will design, develop, and execute automated test scripts to ensure the reliability and performance of our microservices and payment systems.

Technical Skill:

Primary Skills (Must-Have):

API Automation: Proven experience using Java or Python (Rest Assured highly preferred; other standard frameworks acceptable).

API Manual Testing: Proficiency with Postman for manual verification and collection building.

Process: Strong understanding and working experience in an Agile/Scrum methodology environment.

Secondary Skills (Good-to-Have / Advantages):

UI Automation: Hands-on experience with Web Automation (Selenium preferred).

Architecture Testing: Solid understanding of Microservices testing principles.

Data Streams: Experience testing event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka.

Domain Knowledge: Prior exposure to the Payments or Cards domain.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement robust API automation frameworks or maintain existing ones.

Collaborate with developers to understand microservices architecture and map out test cases.

Validate data streaming pipelines and event triggers using Kafka.

Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and code reviews.
