Key Responsibilities:
Manage dayâtoâday compliance under EPF, ESIC, Professional Tax, MLWF, and applicable labour laws
Ensure compliance with Maharashtra Shops & Establishments Act and other central labour statutes
Support handling of labour inspections, audits, notices, and correspondence with EPFO, ESIC, and Labour Department
Maintain and update statutory registers, returns, challans, and compliance trackers
Support lawful implementation of wage deductions, loss recovery, attendance, and leave practices
Assist in drafting and maintaining HR policies, SOPs, and disciplinary documentation
Ensure compliance during essential services situations, elections, or special statutory notifications
Payroll & Compensation
Manage and coordinate the entire payroll process in compliance with statutory requirements
Ensure accurate calculation and timely deposit of statutory contributions and deductions
Support Full & Final settlements, adjustments, and statutory reconciliations
Coordinate with payroll vendors / internal finance teams
HR Operations & Employee Relations
Act as a bridge between management and employees, addressing HR queries, grievances, and complianceârelated concerns
Support recruitment and selection processes (coordination, documentation, onboarding compliance)
Assist in implementation and monitoring of training programs
Support creation of a positive, compliant, and disciplined work environment
Reporting, HR Metrics & Systems
Prepare HR and compliance reports, dashboards, and MIS for management review
Track compliance KPIs and support audit readiness
PharmaâSpecific Compliance Exposure
Handling compliance for office staff, depots, warehouses, and field force
Understanding of multiâlocation statutory applicability
High sensitivity to compliance risks impacting business continuity and reputation
Degree / Diploma in Human Resource Management, Law, Commerce, or Management
Must have studied labour / statutory laws as part of curriculum
5\-8 years of handsâon HR experience with strong exposure to statutory compliance and payroll
Inâdepth working knowledge of:
Labour laws (essential skill)
Payroll & Compensation & Benefits (essential skill)
Prior experience in pharma / manufacturing / regulated industry preferred
Exposure to statutory audits or inspections is an advantage
Strong documentation, coordination, and followâup skills
