Purpose of the Role

The
Welding Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support and
welding solutions to customers, conducting product demonstrations and trials,
preparing welding documentation, resolving welding -related issues, and
supporting product approvals. The role requires close coordination with
customers, sales teams, quality, production, and dispatch departments to ensure
customer satisfaction and successful implementation of welding solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct welding product
  demonstrations, trials, and technical presentations at customer sites.
  
• Recommend suitable welding
  consumables and procedures based on customer applications and
  requirements.
  
• Prepare, review, and
  maintain Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification
  Records (PQR), and related technical documentation.
  
• Support customers during
  vendor qualification and welding approval processes.
  
• Investigate and resolve
  welding -related customer complaints in coordination with QC, Production,
  and Sales teams.
  
• Visit customer sites to
  evaluate welding practices, identify issues, and provide technical
  solutions.
  
• Coordinate product sample
  requirements with QC, Production, and Dispatch teams.
  
• Conduct technical seminars,
  product awareness programs, and application training for customers and
  channel partners.
  
• Provide technical training
  and support to sales and field teams on welding products and applications.
  
• Maintain records of customer
  visits, technical trials, complaints, and corrective actions.
  
• Assist in developing new
  business opportunities by identifying customer requirements and project
  needs.
  
• Support product approvals
  and specification compliance with OEMs, EPC contractors, fabrication
  companies, and industrial customers.
  
• Ensure timely reporting and
  documentation of all technical service activities.
  

Candidate Profile

Educational Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical
  Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or Welding Engineering.
  

Experience

• 2–5 years of experience in
  Welding Technical Services, Welding Engineering, Fabrication, Quality, or
  Application Engineering.
  
• Experience in welding
  consumables, fabrication industries, heavy engineering, steel, power,
  cement, railways, or infrastructure sectors preferred.
  

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of welding
  processes including SMAW, GMAW/MIG, FCAW, GTAW/TIG, and SAW.
  
• Hands -on experience in WPS,
  PQR, WPQ, and welding qualification activities.
  
• Understanding of welding
  consumables, metallurgy, welding defects, and troubleshooting.
  
• Knowledge of welding
  standards such as ASME, AWS, API, IS, and EN codes.
  
• Experience in conducting
  welding trials and product approvals.
  
• Strong customer handling and
  technical problem -solving abilities.
  
• Good communication,
  presentation, and report -writing skills.
  
• Proficiency in MS Office and
  ERP systems.
