Sr. Innovation Manager

The Innovation Manager will be responsible for enabling the development of new products and solutions in emerging areas of Mobility, Manufacturing / I4.0, Healthcare, Energy and Semiconductor. The responsibility includes Innovation and Portfolio Management leveraging emerging technology trends, new age innovation frameworks, design thinking principles and methodologies. Technology focus will be towards emerging trends in AI, Robotics, Sustainability, Perception / XR and Intelligent Sensors. The role will also be responsible towards setting up a culture of innovation in the organization, create enablers of curiosity through training, infrastructure, platforms and events. The Innovation Manager will be responsible for the innovation fund, facilitate new ideas, evaluate ideas for desirability and viability, mentor teams and promote creation of new assets.

This is a internal program management role reporting into the Vice President Innovation and Chief Innovation Officer with KPIs of product market fit, products in scale and revenues generated through software led innovation. Experience in managing corporate innovation, innovation tools and frameworks, networking with academia and startup ecosystems, innovation events management and portfolio fund management desired. Should have strong domain strength in one of the focus areas and capable of handling one focus innovation program.

Minimum 15-20 yrs technology / domain experience, full lifecycle product innovation experience, startup innovation experience, experience in fund management / portfolio management etc. Must have a strong network with innovation networks and startup ecosystems in the specific domain of strength. Leadership in managing innovation teams, developing investment theses, ideating around themes in collaboration with internal and external ecosystems is a must.

Job location is in Bangalore and 100% work from office.

Educational qualification:

• Bachelors / Masters in Engineering / Computer Science / Electronics
• MBA in Strategy / Business

Experience :

• 15-20 years

Mandatory/requires Skills :

• Innovation management, Product Design / Management, Business Strategy / Product Strategy; Partnerships and Ecosystem Management
• Domain depth in one of Manufacturing, Healthcare, Energy, Semiconductor
• Technology Depth in one of AI, Electronics, Software AI/ML, Semiconductor etc.
• Entrepreneurship experience preferred and / or mandatory

Preferred Skills :

• Highly hands-on in product design, product management, engineering with strong skills in AI led and Sw led product design, business strategy and with entrepreneurial skills
