US Payroll Processing: Process semi-monthly payroll with accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and deductions (federal/state/local taxes, benefits, garnishments) Review new hires for correct tax withholding, deductions, direct deposit, and variable compensation Calculate prorated payments for new hires, terminations, and leaves Assist employees with payroll changes and resolve inquiries in a timely manner Process monthly payroll for international employees and coordinate with external payroll processor Prepare bank upload files and validate payroll reports for accuracy and compliance PF/EPF: Calculate contributions, file monthly returns via ECR portal by due date, maintain records and reconciliations ESI: Process contributions, file monthly returns, manage registrations/de-registrations TDS: Calculate and process payment and filings by due dates Professional Tax: Calculate and file PT returns per state guidelines, process LWF deductions Leave & Gratuity: Track leave balances, process leave encashment and gratuity payments Support employees with tax declaration submissions and queries Create journal entries for each pay cycle and reconcile payroll related accounts to General Ledger Maintain audit-ready documentation and resolve discrepancies Ensure full compliance with US and country specific payroll laws and stay updated on legislation changes Prepare adhoc payroll reports as needed, support year-end activities and audits Identify process improvements and support system implementations Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, HR or related field 7+ years' global payroll experience with 5+ years' hands-on India payroll Deep expertise in India statutory compliance (PF, ESI, TDS, PT, Form 16, labor laws) Strong knowledge of US payroll processing and federal/state/local regulations Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, complex formulas) for analysis and reconciliation Experience with payroll software (UKG preferred), NetSuite/ERP systems, and HRIS platforms Familiarity with India government portals (ECR, ESIC, Income Tax) Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy Strong organisational skills to manage multiple payroll cycles and deadlines Excellent problem-solving and communication skills Proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable to regulatory changes Strong confidentiality and customer service orientation Ability to maintain confidential information with discretion and professionalism Comprehensive understanding of India payroll compliance Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or NIPM certification or equivalent Multi-state and multi-country payroll experience Experience our comprehensive benefits with family medical, vision and dental coverage, a competitive base salary, and eligibility for equity awards and discretionary bonuses or commissions.
