Sr PHP Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior PHP Developer to join our dynamic team and help us build innovative and cutting-edge products and features for our students.

As a Senior PHP Developer, you will play a crucial role in the development of our platform, collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions. You will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of new features, as well as maintaining and improving existing code. Your expertise and leadership will be vital in driving the direction of our product and ensuring its scalability and functionality.

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

- Design, develop, and test high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code in PHP and related technologies.

- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.

- Optimize and improve existing code to enhance performance and user experience.

- Stay updated on industry trends and technology advancements, and recommend new tools and methods to improve development processes.

- Mentor and guide junior developers, providing technical expertise and support.

- Troubleshoot and debug production issues in a timely manner.

- Work closely with the DevOps team to ensure smooth deployment and monitoring of the platform.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, preferably in a PHP-based environment.

- Strong knowledge of PHP, MySQL, and related frameworks (Laravel, CodeIgniter, etc.).

- Extensive experience with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

- Experience with version control systems such as Git.

- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

- Experience with other programming languages and technologies, such as Python, Node.js, or AWS, is a plus.

- Fluent in Spanish is a plus.
