Sr. SAP IDM Developer

Job Description

An Sr. SAP IDM Developer designs and manages identity and access solutions using SAP Identity Management. They

automate user provisioning, integrate systems, and ensure secure access across platforms. The role involves scripting,

troubleshooting, and compliance with security standards. Working closely with IT and security teams, they support user

lifecycle management and maintain a secure, efficient identity infrastructure.

Key Responsibility

? Build Custom UI tasks, build reports, schedule jobs to perform bulk activities.

? Design and implement identity management workflows and provisioning processes.

? Develop custom connectors and integration scenarios with SAP and non-SAP systems.

? Configure and customize SAP IDM components (e.g., Identity Center, UI, provisioning framework).

? Integrate SAP IDM with SAP systems (e.g., SAP ECC, S/4HANA, SAP GRC) and third-party applications.

? Implement and maintain connectors for Active Directory, LDAP, databases, and cloud services.

? Automate user provisioning, de-provisioning, and role assignments.

? Manage identity data synchronization across systems.

? Monitor IDM system performance and troubleshoot issues.

? Perform regular system upgrades, patches, and backups.

? Identifying and resolving IDM system issues and performance bottlenecks

Additional Information

? Work closely with business analysts, security teams, and application owners.

? Participate in project planning, requirement gathering, and status reporting.

? Support testing, UAT, and deployment activities.

Technical Skills

? Experience with Identity Center, Virtual Directory Server (VDS), and UI Configuration

? Knowledge of SAP Provisioning Framework and task-based provisioning

? JavaScript and Groovy (for IDM scripts and rules) & Java (for custom connectors or extensions)

? SQL (for database queries and custom jobs)

? Experience integrating with:

o SAP systems (e.g., SAP ECC, S/4HANA, SAP GRC, SAP HCM)

o Active Directory / LDAP / Microsoft Azure AD

o Cloud platforms (e.g., SAP BTP, SuccessFactors)

? Familiarity with REST/SOAP APIs for external system integration

? Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, or SAP HANA

? Understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux) for IDM deployment and troubleshooting

? Knowledge of role-based access control (RBAC) and attribute-based access control (ABAC)

? Understanding of authentication protocols (SAML, OAuth, Kerberos)

? Familiarity with SAP GRC Access Control integration

Technical Skills

? Experience with IDM Developer Studio

? Use of SAP IDM logs, trace files, and debugging tools

? Performance tuning and issue resolution in complex IDM landscapes

Qualification Bachelor¹s or masters degree.

Ability to work in global distributed setting without supervision
