Sr Technical Lead (Support & Operations)

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, testing, deployment, and support of Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions using Azure AI Foundry / Microsoft Foundry.


• Build and implement AI agents, RAG pipelines, LLM-powered applications, prompt-based workflows, and agentic automation solutions.


• Develop solutions using Microsoft Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Foundry Agent Service, Azure AI Search, Azure AI SDKs, Python, REST APIs, and relevant AI/ML frameworks.


• Work with one or more agentic AI frameworks or platforms such as Foundry Agent Service, Microsoft Agent Framework, Semantic Kernel, LangGraph, LangChain, OpenAI Agents SDK, or equivalent frameworks.


• Apply Responsible AI practices, including content safety, guardrails, privacy controls, data protection, prompt-injection mitigation, evaluation, and human-in-the-loop review where required.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.


• Drive the end-to-end lifecycle of AI/ML projects, from data collection and preprocessing to model training, evaluation, and deployment.


• Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.


• Stay updated with the latest advancements in Generative AI and AI/ML technologies, and integrate them into ongoing projects.


• Optimize and fine-tune AI models for performance, scalability, and reliability.


• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all AI/ML projects and processes.

Skill Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience in Generative AI production development and implementation using Azure AI Foundry / Microsoft Foundry.


• Strong Python programming skills with experience building production-grade APIs, services, workflows, and integrations.


• Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG, embeddings, vector search, prompt engineering, retrieval optimization, and hallucination mitigation.


• Experience building AI agents or agentic automation using at least one platform or framework such as Foundry Agent Service, Microsoft Agent Framework, Semantic Kernel, LangGraph, LangChain, OpenAI Agents SDK, or equivalent frameworks.


• Experience integrating Generative AI solutions with enterprise systems, APIs, databases, document repositories, ITSM tools, monitoring systems, automation platforms, or business applications.


• Strong experience in prompt engineering and ability to design, test, optimize, and maintain reusable prompt libraries for business and infrastructure scenarios.


• Good understanding of LLMOps / GenAIOps practices, including prompt versioning, model evaluation, monitoring, tracing, CI/CD, deployment, and operational support.


• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and performance optimization skills.

Other Requirements

Preferred Skills:

• Hands-on experience with LangGraph and LangChain for agentic workflows, RAG pipelines, tool orchestration, and multi-step AI workflows.


• Experience with Azure AI Search, Azure Machine Learning, Azure Functions, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Container Apps, Azure Storage, Cosmos DB, Key Vault, API Management, Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.


• Experience in infrastructure-related use cases leveraging autonomous agents, agentic automation, AIOps, ITSM, cloud operations, observability, or enterprise service management.


• Experience with natural language processing (NLP) and computer vision.


• Familiarity with MLOps practices and tools.


• Knowledge of data engineering and big data technologies.


• Experience in Infrastructure related use-cases leveraging Autonomous Agents and/or agentic platform. 


• Ability to design and build Prompt libraries for various scenarios applicable in Infrastructure.

  • Bachelor’s or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, or a related field.
  
  
  • Strong experience in Python, AI/ML frameworks, cloud-native development, API development, and enterprise application integration.
  
  
  • Experience working on AI solutions using Azure AI Foundry / Microsoft Foundry.
  
  
  • Experience with LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, agentic automation, and production Generative AI implementation.
  
  
  • Experience leading development teams, mentoring engineers, managing technical delivery, and working in Agile delivery models.
  
  
  • Hands-on experience in Gen AI observability & monitoring via tools like Lang Smith.
  
  
  • Experience with deep learning, NLP, text-to-speech, speech-to-text, OCR, and image processing techniques.
  
  
  • Extensive experience in Prompt Engineering.
  
  
  • Good understanding of Responsible AI best practices and standards and experience of implementing them in Gen AI/Agentic AI related projects
  
  
  • Proven track record of leading and delivering complex AI/ML projects.
  
  
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  
  
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
