This role blends hands\u2011on engineering, solution architecture, and consultative engagement, with a focus on cloud-native platforms, reliability, automation, and scalable DevOps practices.\n\nThe ideal candidate is comfortable translating business problems into technical solutions, leading POCs end\u2011to\u2011end, and guiding teams toward production\u2011ready, secure, and reliable systems.\n\n* * *\n\n## Key Responsibilities\n\n### POC \u0026 Solution Engineering\n\n * Design and deliver end\u2011to\u2011end POCs for DevOps, SRE, cloud, and platform engineering use cases\n * Quickly prototype solutions to validate:\n * Architecture\n * Scalability\n * Reliability\n * Security\n * Cost efficiency\n * Evaluate tools, platforms, and approaches (build vs buy) and provide clear recommendations\n * Convert successful POCs into production\u2011ready reference architectures\n\n\n\n### Consulting \u0026 Advisory\n\n * Act as a DevOps/SRE consultant for customers or internal teams\n * Understand business goals and technical constraints; translate them into actionable designs\n * Provide guidance on:\n * DevOps transformation\n * SRE best practices\n * Cloud adoption and migration\n * Platform engineering strategies\n * Run technical workshops, architecture reviews, and design sessions\n * Create high-quality documentation, runbooks, and architectural diagrams\n\n\n\n### DevOps \u0026 SRE Engineering\n\n * Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.)\n * Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar\n * Design and operate Kubernetes-based platforms (EKS, AKS, GKE, OpenShift)\n * Implement SRE practices:\n * SLIs, SLOs, SLAs\n * Error budgets\n * Incident management and postmortems\n * Automate deployments, scaling, backups, and disaster recovery\n\n\n\n### Reliability, Observability \u0026 Security\n\n * Implement observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, Datadog, New Relic, etc.)\n * Improve system reliability, availability, and performance\n * Embed security into CI/CD and infrastructure (DevSecOps)\n * Ensure compliance with security and operational best practices\n\n\n\n### Leadership \u0026 Collaboration\n\n * Mentor junior DevOps and SRE engineers\n * Influence engineering and product teams through technical leadership\n * Contribute to standards, best practices, and reusable patterns\n * Work closely with architects, developers, security, and business stakeholders\n\n\n\n* * *\n\n## Required Skills \u0026 Experience\n\n### Technical Skills\n\n * 8+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering\n * Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP)\n * Deep knowledge of:\n * Linux and networking fundamentals\n * Containers and Kubernetes\n * CI/CD pipelines and automation\n * Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)\n * Strong scripting/programming skills (Python, Go, Bash, or similar)\n * Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions\n\n\n\n### Consulting \u0026 POC Skills\n\n * Proven experience delivering POCs, pilots, or technical demos\n * Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non\u2011technical audiences\n * Strong problem\u2011solving and design thinking skills\n * Experience working in customer\u2011facing or consulting roles is a strong plus\n\n\n\n* * *\n\n## Nice\u2011to\u2011Have Skills\n\n * Experience with platform engineering tools (Backstage, ArgoCD, Crossplane)\n * Experience designing multi\u2011region or highly available systems\n * Knowledge of FinOps and cloud cost optimization\n * Certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP, CKA, CKS, DevOps Expert)\n\n\n\nAbout NTT DATA\n\nNTT DATA is a $30 billion business and technology services leader, serving 75% of the Fortune Global 100.
