Position Title: Sr.
Psychologist
Department: Psychology
Unit - MDR
Location: APD
Employment Type: Full -time
1. Job Purpose
To
lead and manage the Psychology Unit by delivering high -quality, evidence -based
psychological and psycho -social rehabilitation services across age groups,
including children, adolescents, adults and geriatric. The role includes OPD
services, multidisciplinary coordination (MDR), and individualized intervention
planning, follow up and referral if required. The position drives program
development, training, and capacity building, while establishing collaborations
with hospitals, NGOs, and institutions, and contributing to proposal
development and program expansion.

Delivery Leadership
- Lead OPD services across child and
adult populations
- Deliver psychological and
psycho -social interventions
- Use behavioural modification
approaches (including ABA, CBT -based, and functional approaches)
- Ensure holistic assessment including
family and environmental context
- Ensure quality in assessment,
diagnosis, IRP planning, and therapy implementation
- Monitor case progress, outcomes, and
service effectiveness
B. Multidisciplinary Team
(MDT/MDR) Coordination
- Lead and actively participate in
Multidisciplinary Reviews (MDR)
- Ensure effective coordination with
physiotherapy unit, speech unit, occupational unit, and medical teams
- Drive integrated goal setting and
holistic care planning
C. Program Initiatives
& Development
- Develop structured intervention
modules, IEC materials, and group programs
- Initiate community programs, camps,
and outreach services
- Strengthen services through
innovation and evidence -based practices
D. Training &
Capacity Building
- Conduct training for staff,
caregivers, institutions, and community stakeholders
- Lead capacity -building initiatives
and external training programs
- Support awareness campaigns and
sensitization programs
E. Collaboration &
Partnerships
- Collaborate with hospitals, NGOs,
schools, and government bodies and corporate.
- Support external training, IEC
dissemination, and community engagement
F. Proposal Writing &
Resource Mobilization
- Lead and contribute to proposal
writing, concept notes, and project documentation
- Support funding opportunities and
program expansion initiatives
- Document program impact, success
stories, and reports for stakeholders
G. Documentation, Audit
& Compliance
- Ensure 100% documentation compliance
(Goonjan, reports, case records)
- Lead audit preparedness and ensure
closure of NCRs
- Maintain SOPs, quality standards, and
outcome tracking systems
H. Overall Unit
Management
- Oversee day -to -day functioning of the
Psychology Unit
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate team
members and interns
- Ensure achievement of targets,
timelines, and program outcomes
- Handle administrative, clinical, and
coordination responsibilities
3. Competencies Required

4. Qualifications &
Experience
- Master’s degree in psychology (Counselling/Clinical/
Rehabilitation preferred)
- Training/certification in ABA
(preferred)
- 3 - 5+ years of experience with
leadership responsibilities

- Based on program outcomes, leadership
effectiveness, service quality, and compliance.
