About the Role

This is a remote role but we are looking for candidates that are based within India or the Philippines.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team. This role will primarily focus on maintaining accurate financial records, preparing and posting journal entries, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with NetSuite and a strong foundation in accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries for daily, monthly, and year-end accounting activities


• Reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data


• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals and adjustments


• Perform account reconciliations (e.g., bank, prepaid, accruals, intercompany)


• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed


• Assist in preparing financial statements and internal management reports


• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and GAAP standards


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial support and insights


• Assist with audits, both internal and external, by providing requested documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field


• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience (corporate or public accounting)


• Proficiency with NetSuite required


• Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles, familiarity with tax preparation


• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills


• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools


• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment


• Effective communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or CPA eligibility a plus


• Experience in healthcare, technology, or professional services industry a plus


• Prior experience in a high-growth or startup environment
