Position: Staff Engineer - Backend Engineering, Digital Business

This position is required to provide technology leadership on medium to large scale products/platforms with internal and direct customer impact.

Education: B.E./B.Tech, MCA or Equivalent Computer Degree

Purpose:

The candidate will direct the development and implementation of backend solutions that enable the business, product, and engineering teams to make informed decisions. They will be responsible for creating reusable components, frameworks, and libraries at scale. Facilitate conversations about scalability of backend architecture to handle massive data amounts and address diverse challenges. They will also partner to drive technical roadmaps, leverage standards and platforms, and enterprise platform and architecture.

Experience:

• Overall 6+ years of IT experience with a minimum of 5+ years in backend technologies with recent projects involving AWS Cloud services.


• Proven work experience as a Backend developer.


• Expertise in programming languages such as Java, Scala, Python, or Node.js.


• Strong experience with databases (SQL, NoSQL) and data storage solutions.


• Hands-on experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture.


• Familiarity with containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.


• Experience with serverless architecture and event-driven programming.


• In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development, and deployment).


• Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.


• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Leading the backend development team and providing technical guidance.


• Designing and developing scalable and efficient backend systems and APIs.


• Ensuring the technical feasibility of backend solutions and implementing best practices.


• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.


• Optimizing backend performance to handle large-scale data and traffic.


• Conducting code reviews and ensuring the quality of the team’s code.


• Implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to streamline development processes.


• Identifying system bottlenecks and proposing solutions to eliminate them.


• Mentoring team members and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
