## \nCompany:\n\nQualcomm India Private Limited\n\n## Job Area:\n\nEngineering Group, Engineering Group \u003e Software Engineering\n\nGeneral Summary:\n\n * Job function: USB2/3/4 drivers development on Linux on Snapdragon platform\n * Education and Experience requirements: \n * Masters/Bachelor\u0027s degree in Electronics/Computers with 5 to 12 years of Linux Device drivers software development experience required\n * Skill set requirements: \n * Strong USB protocol (USB3.0 or USB3.1 or USB4 (Connection Manager/retimer/tunnelling etc.) knowledge\n * Experience in usage of USB3/4 Analyzer (Lecroy) for debugging\n * Expertise in C programming\n * Expertise in Linux Operating system internals and Device driver programming\n * Proficient on Drivers design, System level understanding and Power management (Sleep, Hibernation)\n * Proficient on USB3/4 and ThunderBolt3/4 Compliances\n * Understanding of PC hardware, SoC, multi core and BIOS\n * Pre/Post silicon diagnostics development \u0026 validation\n * Ability to analyze, triage and debug complex system level problems and issues\n * Ability to lead the feature requirements, design and customer issues support\n * Strong analysis and problem-solving skills required\n * Solid knowledge of the software development lifecycle required\n * Technical management skills would be plus [ for staff]\n * Responsibilities: \n * USB3/4 technology development and its commercialization on Linux on Snapdragon platform\n * USB3/4 and TBT3/4 Compliance support on Windows on Snapdragon platform\n * Require to work with external 3rd party USB compliance lab for USB3/4 certification for Snapdragon chipsets\n * Running USB2/3/4 tests on silicon and analyzing the results through error logs \u0026 USB analyzers\n * Participate in technical requirements, design discussions, and support the same on Snapdragon platform\n * Collaborate and work closely with the hardware team for developing low-level device driver software for USB3/4 and peripheral/host gadget/class drivers\n * Development/Testing/Debugging of USB test cases for USB4/3.x\n\n\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 Bachelor\u0027s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. \nOR \nMaster\u0027s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. \nOR \nPhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. \n \n\u2022 2+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.\n\nApplicants: Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
