Store Specialist

About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Store Specialist / Material Coordinator to oversee material handling processes, ensuring efficient inventory management, timely issuance, and reconciliation of returnable packaging. The role requires strong coordination with suppliers and internal teams to maintain an optimal supply chain flow.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

1. Material Receiving




• Verify incoming materials against purchase orders and supplier documentation.


• Ensure quality and quantity checks upon material arrival.


• Maintain proper documentation and update inventory records.




2. Material Issuance




• Issue materials as per production requirements.


• Ensure FIFO (First-In-First-Out) or other inventory management techniques are followed.


• Keep accurate records of material movement.




3. Returnable Packaging Reconciliation (Supplier)




• Track and manage returnable packaging with suppliers.


• Ensure proper documentation and reconciliation of returnable materials.


• Coordinate with suppliers for packaging returns and discrepancies.




4. Material Shortage List




• Identify and update material shortages impacting production schedules.


• Communicate shortages to procurement and production teams.


• Assist in expediting critical materials to avoid production delays.




5. Schedule vs. Actual Receipt (Supplier)




• Monitor and compare scheduled material deliveries with actual receipts.


• Identify discrepancies and coordinate with suppliers for corrective action.


• Maintain records of supplier performance in adherence to delivery timelines.




6. Warehouse Stock Report




• Maintain and update warehouse inventory records.


• Conduct periodic stock audits and cycle counts.


• Generate reports on stock levels, discrepancies, and stock movement.

Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.


• 6+years of experience in warehouse/material handling roles.


• Proficiency in inventory management systems (SAP, ERP, or similar).


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
