We are looking for a detail-oriented Store Operator to manage inventory, stock records, and material movement within a manufacturing environment. The role ensures uninterrupted material availability to the shop floor, accurate and traceable stock records, and disciplined day-to-day store operations — all in line with quality and traceability standards.
What you'll deliver:
Manage day-to-day store operations, inventory, and material flow across the stores function.
Issue raw material — including Aluminium (Al), Mild Steel (MS), and sheet metal — to the shop floor accurately and on time.
Read and interpret job cards and issue the correct material and quantity to the requesting department.
Maintain full traceability of stocked items — batch/lot numbers, material certificates, and lot identity from receipt through to issue.
Handle receipt, storage, issuance, and replenishment of materials, tooling, and consumables.
Maintain minimum and maximum stock levels, raising replenishment requests before shortages occur.
Receive and verify imported materials, validating consignments against the Purchase Order (PO), delivery challan, and GRN for quantity, specification, and documentation.
Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts, maintaining accurate inventory records.
Apply FIFO practices and minimise wastage, shortages, and shelf-life expiries.
Coordinate with procurement / purchase teams for timely material availability.
Update all inventory transactions in the ERP system and generate stock, consumption, and traceability reports.
Ensure compliance with quality standards (e.g. AS9100 / ISO 9001) and inventory management procedures.
What you'll need:
2+ years of experience in Store Operations, Inventory Management, or Procurement — preferably in a manufacturing / engineering setting.
Hands-on experience issuing raw material such as Aluminium, Mild Steel, and sheet metal (preferred).
Ability to read job cards and correctly issue material to departments.
Working understanding of material traceability and its importance in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Experience receiving and validating imported materials against POs and supporting documents.
Proven discipline in daily stock management and maintaining minimum / maximum inventory levels.
Hands-on experience with an ERP system — Epicor strongly preferred; or similar considered.
Good analytical, documentation, and reporting skills.
Understanding of quality systems such as ISO 9001 / AS9100 is preferred.
Must have:
Education: Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience-based knowledge
Experience: 2+ years in Stores, Inventory Management, Procurement (preferred: aerospace, machining, or precision manufacturing)
Nice to have:
Prior experience with the Epicor ERP system.
Experience in Engineering Purchase or Manufacturing Supply Chain.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
