Position: Strategic Sales Head
Job Summary:
The Strategic Sales Head will lead the growth strategy for the Equipment portfolio across India, supporting Cluster Sales Heads in North, South, and West regions. This role is pivotal in driving revenue, market share, and profitability by aligning regional sales efforts with India market growth objectives. The position collaborates closely with Territory Heads to ensure consistent execution and expansion of all Equipment product lines.
Location: Mumbai
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a sales strategy for the Equipment portfolio including Sheetfed press, Postpress, prepress, Label (Gallus) aligned with India market growth objectives.
- Identify emerging trends and opportunities to expand market presence.
- Collaborate with Product Specialist of all Product lines and partner with Cluster Sales Heads (North, South, West) to drive regional growth plans in line with Customer requirements.
- Support Territory Heads in executing strategic initiatives across clusters.
- Achieve revenue, margin, and market share targets for Equipment product lines.
- Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions to ensure consistent performance.
- Ensure financial and NWC targets are met/exceeded
- Plan, organize and motivate the sales team to achieve targets
- Accountable for customer segmentation and customer portfolio management Account allocation/distribution to the Account Managers
- Analyze Salesforce data on weekly basis to ensure optimum sales coverage Accountable for Salesforce data quality
- Ensure accuracy of sales forecast in order to meet Territory AOP and the achievement of manufacturing goals.
- Work closely with Cluster Sales Heads to develop and track performance metrics and key performance indicators and develop Sales Account Manager (SAM), Sales Account Manager(LSAM), COMB (Combined Sales Account Manager).
- Implement at a local level the Regional strategies for product lines, sales approach, customer interactions, analyze pain points and develop strategy to improve customer centricity.
- Support the sales process, liaise with admin and supply to ensure open and transparent information flow to maximize sales and customer satisfaction levels.
- Drive Heidelberg marketing promotional activities
- Analyze competitive landscape and customer insights to inform pricing and positioning strategies.
- Recommend innovative approaches to capture new business opportunities.
- Mentor and guide regional sales teams to enhance capability and performance.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and achieve Annual and quarterly sales growth targets for Equipment portfolio.
- Strategic account development plans across clusters.
- Market share improvement and penetration in key segments.
- Regular performance dashboards and actionable insights.
- Responsible for Revenue Growth, increase Market Share, Customer Acquisition & Retention, Execution Excellence
Desired Profile:
- MBA candidate with Engineering background 15-18 years in strategic sales leadership within Graphic Art Industry industrial equipment or related sectors.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
- Ability to influence and collaborate across multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical and execution skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively across India.
- Strategic Orientation with Ability to translate market insights into actionable strategies.
- Leadership qualities inspire and motivate teams to achieve ambitious goals.
