Structural Design Engineer (Transmission Line & Tower)

Elegrow Technology Pvt. Ltd. (ETPL) is seeking a skilled Structural Design Engineer to support the design and engineering of overhead transmission line projects. The role involves transmission line modelling, tower spotting, structural analysis, design verification, and preparation of engineering deliverables using industry -standard software and applicable design codes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and analyse transmission line towers, gantries, and associated steel structures.
  

• Develop and maintain transmission line models using PLS -CADD.
  

• Perform tower spotting, sag -tension calculations, clearance verification, and route optimization.
  

• Conduct structural analysis and member design using PLS -TOWER / TOWER.
  

• Prepare design calculations, reports, load schedules, tower schedules, and engineering documentation.
  

• Generate and review plan & profile drawings, GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and Bills of Materials.
  

• Coordinate with civil, electrical, project, and site teams to ensure accurate and constructible designs.
  

• Provide technical support during project execution, foundation design, and erection activities.
  

• Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards and processes.
  

Requirements

Education

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
  

• M.Tech in Structural Engineering/Civil Engineering will be preferred.
  

Experience

• 2–8 years of experience in transmission line design and structural engineering.
  

• Experience in overhead transmission line tower design projects is preferred.
  

Technical Skills

• Strong working knowledge of PLS -CADD.
  

• Strong working knowledge of PLS -TOWER / TOWER.
  

• Experience with STAAD Pro and AutoCAD.
  

• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.
  

Knowledge of Standards

Preferred Competencies

• Understanding of transmission line routing, tower spotting, sag -tension analysis, and clearance calculations.
  

• Knowledge of conductor and OPGW behaviour under various loading conditions.

• Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
