Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or Building engineering from a recognized university or college. Work experience of more than 10 years in all facets of plant structural engineering and design of stick-built /module (onshore and offshore) Structures of Oil & Gas / petrochemical facility development.
1. Working as part of the Civil Engineering Project Team with specific responsibility for:
2. Structural Design of Piperack, equipment supporting structure, shelter, platform, miscellaneous support for oil refinery projects, LNG plant projects, and/or gas processing plant projects
3. Design Complaince as per relevant international codes and/or project specifications/guidelines
4. Capability as Engineering Checker for the above works including drawing and calculation checking [UG design checker capability will be added advantage]
5. Review of Inputs including Piping Loads, Structural Load Data & Eqpt Data
6. Preparing design specification, standard drawing, work instructions and procedures.
7. Performing Civil Concrete design as per relevant international codes and/or project specifications/guidelines, including optimisation
8. Proactively discuss and resolve design conflicts with other disciplines
9. Providing guidance, inputs & Supervision to other engineers and designers for engineering, 3D modelling and 2D drawings
10. Functioning as Asst LE (Deputy to Civil Lead Engineer) for Small and medium projects
11. Functioning as independent LE for Detailed engineering workshares from home office
12. Working as Field Engineer for short tenures as required
13. Working at other Operating Centres of company performing these roles
Requirements
1. Knowledge of structural engineering input and output
2. Knowledge of international code and standards (such as AISC, ASCE, ACI, PIP, Eurocode and BS etc...) for steel and concrete structural design
3. Knowledge of international code and standards (such as ASCE, UBC etc...) for wind load and seismic load
4. Prior experience of STAAD Pro Software
5. Willing to adapt to the organisation’s method of work delivery
6. Awareness of standard international styles of business communication and experience in the preparation of business and technical documentation
7. Prior exposure to plant facilities (Piping, Electrical, Instrument, Equipment etc.) in oil refinery projects, LNG plant projects, and/or gas processing plant projects
8. Knowledge of design information of plant facilities (Piping, Electrical, Instrument, Equipment etc.) in oil refinery projects, LNG plant projects, and/or gas processing plant projects STAAD PRO operation skills.
9. Basic knowledge of 3D modelling philosophy
10. Calculation knowledge of connection capacity
11. Navisworks operation skills.
12. MS office & Excel operation skills.
13. Flexibility of working in project team as originator or supervisor as required
1) Knowledge of transport analysis (pre-service analysis) of module structure including optimisation may be considered as necessary requirement, depending on current position
2) Knowledge of Concrete and Building Design will be considered as additional Skill
