This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Subject Matter Expert – Manufacturing & Industrial Operations based in India.
This role is centered on bringing deep, real-world manufacturing and industrial expertise into the development of advanced AI systems. You will contribute to a cutting-edge benchmarking initiative designed to improve how AI understands production, engineering, procurement, and supply chain operations. The position requires you to translate complex industrial realities into structured, high-quality scenarios and evaluation frameworks.
You will work in a highly specialized environment where your insights directly shape AI behavior in real operational contexts.
The role combines technical judgment, industry expertise, and analytical rigor to ensure accurate representation of manufacturing systems.
You will review and refine both human and AI-generated outputs for operational realism, safety, and efficiency.

Accountabilities:
- Design realistic manufacturing and industrial operations scenarios in Telugu or English, reflecting Indian production, engineering, procurement, and supply chain environments.
- Develop and adapt structured evaluation rubrics for assessing operational problem-solving, production workflows, and industrial decision-making.
- Review AI-generated and human-created content for accuracy, safety compliance, operational feasibility, and industrial realism.
- Contribute to the creation of “gold standard” reference solutions aligned with best practices in manufacturing and supply chain operations.
- Ensure scenarios reflect real-world challenges across procurement, inventory control, logistics, warehouse operations, and production management.
- Collaborate in refining benchmarks that improve AI understanding of industrial workflows and engineering processes.
Requirements:
- Native-level proficiency in Telugu with strong professional-level English communication skills.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Manufacturing, Industrial Operations, Production Management, Engineering, Procurement, or Supply Chain roles.
- Strong background in one or more areas such as procurement, production supervision, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, logistics, warehouse operations, or inventory control.
- Deep understanding of industrial workflows, production systems, operational safety standards, and manufacturing environments in India.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate real-world processes into structured evaluation frameworks.
- Ability to critically assess technical content for accuracy, efficiency, and operational realism.
- Strong attention to detail, synthesis capability, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, flexible contractor-based environment.
