Job Description - Supply Chain Consulting Analyst - US Healthcare

This role is for one of Weekday’s clients
Salary range: Rs 700000 - Rs 1100000 (ie INR 7-11 LPA)
Min Experience: 3 years
Location: Bengaluru
JobType: full-time

We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Supply Chain Consulting Analyst with a strong background in US Healthcare supply chain management. The ideal candidate will bring at least 3+ years of consulting or industry experience and a proven ability to drive process improvement, business process re-engineering, and transformation initiatives within healthcare organizations. This role requires a professional who can combine analytical expertise with strategic insight to identify inefficiencies, recommend best practices, and support implementation of innovative supply chain solutions.

As a key member of our consulting team, you will collaborate with stakeholders across healthcare providers, payers, and suppliers to transform processes that enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supply Chain Consulting
    • Conduct end-to-end assessments of healthcare supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, distribution, and vendor management.
    • Provide advisory support to healthcare organizations on supply chain strategies, compliance, and cost optimization.
    • Benchmark supply chain performance against industry standards and recommend data-driven solutions.
  • Process Improvement & Re-engineering
    • Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and risks in existing supply chain workflows.
    • Design and implement business process re-engineering (BPR) strategies to streamline operations and reduce cycle times.
    • Develop models for improved demand forecasting, supply planning, and procurement strategies.
  • Process Transformation & Implementation
    • Support large-scale process transformation initiatives aimed at improving supply chain efficiency, transparency, and resilience.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, Finance, Operations, and Clinical teams, to ensure seamless process transitions.
    • Monitor implementation progress and provide post-deployment support to ensure success.
  • US Healthcare Expertise
    • Leverage knowledge of the US healthcare ecosystem, including regulatory requirements, provider networks, payer models, and healthcare supply chain standards.
    • Ensure all recommendations and process transformations align with HIPAA, CMS, and other relevant healthcare regulations.
    • Understand the unique challenges of healthcare supply chains such as demand unpredictability, critical inventory management, and supplier dependencies.
  • Analytics & Reporting
    • Use data analysis, reporting tools, and KPIs to track and evaluate supply chain performance.
    • Prepare business cases, executive presentations, and project reports that highlight insights, risks, and measurable outcomes.
    • Develop dashboards to monitor efficiency improvements and cost savings post-implementation.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in supply chain consulting, process transformation, or healthcare supply chain operations.
  • Technical & Domain Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of supply chain consulting methodologies.
    • Hands-on experience in process improvement, re-engineering, and transformation frameworks (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen).
    • Familiarity with ERP and supply chain management tools (SAP, Oracle, Workday, or similar).
    • Understanding of US healthcare operations, regulatory compliance, and payer/provider models.
  • Core Competencies:
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with ability to use data to drive decisions.
    • Excellent stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and work under tight deadlines.
    • Team-oriented mindset with the flexibility to adapt to dynamic healthcare environments.
