This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Support Engineer - RDG based in India.


This role offers the opportunity to build expertise in telecommunications operations while supporting critical roaming and network information services for global customers.
You will work in a dynamic environment focused on service delivery, database management, and customer support within the telecom ecosystem.
The position combines technical configuration, customer interaction, and operational coordination to ensure seamless service performance and data accuracy.

Accountabilities:


The Support Engineer - RDG will be responsible for maintaining roaming information, supporting customer implementations, and ensuring the accurate provisioning and configuration of services.



  • Maintain and regularly update databases containing roaming and network information.

  • Provision and configure customized solutions in accordance with customer requirements and service specifications.

  • Ensure the correct functionality of services by managing roaming data, network information, and customer-specific configurations.

  • Organize and manage service inboxes, documentation repositories, and operational records.

  • Perform updates related to IR21 information, IR85 (MVNO) configurations, numbering plans, and short codes.

  • Prepare and maintain monthly reports related to short code updates and operational activities.

  • Handle service requests, trouble tickets, and customer issues within agreed service-level commitments.

  • Support customer onboarding and implementation activities, including participation in customer meetings and conference calls.

  • Coordinate with internal service teams and act as a liaison between customers and implementation functions.

  • Validate network information and ensure accurate configuration within internal databases.

  • Contribute to data alignment and continuous improvement initiatives to maintain service quality and operational efficiency.


Requirements:


The ideal candidate has a strong interest in telecommunications technologies, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a customer-focused environment.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.

  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; prior telecommunications experience is considered an advantage.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, particularly advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Basic understanding of SQL and database concepts.

  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating environments.

  • Understanding of GSM technology and mobile network architecture.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in team environments and collaborate across functions.

  • Customer-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
