Surgery Medical Coder

• Must have 4+years of experience in surgery(Inpatient, Outpatient and ASC) coding.
  
• Review and analyze medical records, operative notes, and surgical reports related to surgical procedures.
  
• Assign accurate diagnostic and procedural codes, typically using the Current Procedural Terminology and International Classification of Diseases coding systems.
  
• Proficiency in CPT and ICD coding systems.
  
• Specialized knowledge of neurosurgery procedures, terminology, and anatomy.
  
• Understanding of healthcare compliance, regulations, and billing practices, particularly in the context of outpatient, Inpatient and Ambulatory surgical services.
  
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
  
• Candidate Must be certified in either AHIMA or AAPC.
