About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented BI Testing Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will lead our BI testing efforts, ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and performance of BI solutions across our organization. You will collaborate closely with BI developers, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver robust and high-quality data insights.

• Lead the testing efforts for Business Intelligence (BI) projects, ensuring that data and reporting requirements meet business standards and quality benchmarks.
• Design and develop comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases for BI projects, including ETL, data warehouse, data lakes, and reporting solutions.
• Oversee the end-to-end testing lifecycle, including functional, integration, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including BI developers, data engineers, analysts, and business users, to understand requirements and ensure alignment with testing strategies.
• Conduct data validation, data transformation, and data integrity testing across multiple sources and destinations.
• Utilize testing tools, SQL, and scripting to automate data validation and reporting tests where possible.
• Identify, log, and track defects or issues, ensuring timely resolutions and documenting results and insights.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to junior team members and drive best practices in BI testing.
• Continuously enhance testing methodologies and stay updated with the latest tools and technologies in BI and data analytics.

• 6+ years of experience in BI and data testing, with strong expertise in leading testing initiatives for complex BI and data solutions.
• Proficiency in SQL for data validation, data quality analysis, and querying across large datasets.
• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent for validating data visualizations and reporting accuracy.
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools like Informatica, Talend, or SSIS, with a focus on testing and validation.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks, test automation tools, and scripting languages such as Python or Shell scripting.
• Excellent knowledge of data warehouse concepts, data modeling, and data lake architectures.
• Strong understanding of Agile and SDLC methodologies, with experience in using tools like JIRA, Confluence, or similar.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

• Certification in BI or testing (ISTQB, Certified BI Tester, etc.) is a plus.
• Experience with cloud-based data services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for BI and data processing.
• Prior experience in a lead or mentorship role is advantageous.
