Job Description

We are Sisco Jobs, a recruitment consultancy based in Trichy, Tamil Nadu. We are hiring for the position of System Admin in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows-based systems, desktops, and related IT infrastructure.
  
• Manage user accounts, permissions, access controls, and Active Directory environments.
  
• Monitor system health, performance, storage, and availability.
  
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and network-related issues.
  
• Perform routine system updates, patching, backups, and recovery activities.
  
• Configure and troubleshoot LAN/WAN connectivity and common network services.
  
• Maintain technical documentation, system configurations, and support records.
  
• Support users with IT incidents and escalate complex infrastructure issues when required.
  

Required Skills

1. Windows Administration — Ability to configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows environments.
   
2. Active Directory — Working knowledge of users, groups, permissions, and access administration.
   
3. Networking — Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, and connectivity troubleshooting.
   
4. System Troubleshooting — Ability to identify and resolve common hardware, software, and OS issues.
   
5. Backup & Recovery — Understanding of routine backup, restoration, and system recovery practices.
   

Preferred Skills

• Basic PowerShell or scripting knowledge.
  
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies.
  
• Knowledge of IT security, patching, and endpoint management practices.
  

Work Experience Requirements

The posting specifies 2 years of experience. Relevant experience in system administration, infrastructure support, desktop/server administration, or a similar IT support environment is appropriate for this role.

Education

• Minimum: Typical — Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications, or related discipline.
  
• Preferred: Typical — B.E./B.Tech/BCA/B.Sc IT or equivalent.
  
• Additional: Typical — Microsoft, networking, cloud, or system administration certifications are advantageous.
