Leads, plans and tracks all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace. Coordinates with various functions to ensure successful product development and implementation.\n\n## This role in summary\n\nTo manage system integration of products in Production Development Projects for India \u0026 Export Asia Market\n\n## Your responsibilities will include\n\nKey Stakeholder:\n\n * Project Leader, System Architect, Industrial Engineer, Procurement, GCD, Quality\n * Subsystem Teams, Site Leaders, Regional Marketing \n * Site Engineers, Build Planners\n\n\n\nKey responsibilities:\n\n * Manage system integration of products in Production Development Projects for India \u0026 Export Asia Market\n * Ensure project development activities are completed on time, meeting all requirements, including cost, quality \u0026 performance, targets to support the project plans and project execution\n * Responsible for system level design/cost/quality/time trade-offs and technical decision making for issue resolution within the project/product plan guardrails\n * Lead technical design reviews for project to provide an assessment of whether the project is within the architecture/project/product plan guardrails by working with key development team members (e.g.\n * Subsystem teams, V\u0026V Strategist, Project Leader) and by consulting with key architecture development team members when necessary (e.g. System Architect, Subsystem SMEs, V\u0026V Strategist)\n * Responsible to drive full system validation through use of predictive validation methodologies in concept, design and product validation stages\n * Responsible for driving Product Leadership through the Whirlpool, Product Development process, including the following:\n * Manage/Release of EBOMs based on project charter and architecture definition\n * Drive simulation of virtual prototypes and build of physical prototypes per V\u0026V Plan\n * Document total expected variation to +/- 3 sigma distribution for each attribute\n * Document the revision of parts used in builds using baselines\n * Designate high contributing factors toward each function as a Special Characteristic\n * Drive the measurement and documentation of the special characteristics on physical prototypes\n * Drive closure of dFMEA action plans and updated Occurrence \u0026 Detection, based on Concept and Design\n\n\n\n## Minimum requirements\n\nEducation: Graduate / Post graduate in Mechanical Engg.\n\nExperience: 6-10 yrs relevant experience in Refrigeration ( Mechanical /Structural Design)\n\nCompetencies:\n\n * 7-9 years depending on scope of project Engineering \u0026 Technical Design Experience\n * Proven development and execution experience\n * Knowledge in given category\n * Project management\n * System design\n * System integration\n * PDP: Product Design Development, Production Process Development\n * Ability to work cross-functionally and influence others\n * Technical coaching abilities\n * Creo/Windchill knowledge is an added advantage\n\n\n\n## Preferred skills and experiences\n\nTechnical Skills:\n\n * Project Management \u2013 Ability to lead/close multiple projects at the same time\n\n * Conceptual \u0026 Analytical Skills \n\n * Cross-functional trade-offs between architecture function and form\n\n * Strong consumer orientation\n\n * Customer Centricity\n\n * Strong communication and presentation skills\n\n\n\n\nSoft Skills:\n\nBehavioural Aspect :\n\n * Ability to deal with ambiguity \n * Team player \n * Good energy level with positive attitude \n * Ability to work cross-functionally and influence others\n * Technical coaching abilities\n * Ability to deal with ambiguity\n * Team player\n * Good energy level with positive attitude\n\n\n\n## What we offer\n\nN/A\n\nConnect with us and learn more about Whirlpool India.\n\nSee what it\u0027s like to work at Whirlpool by visiting Whirlpool Careers.
