System Performance Consultant

Contribute to the development and execution of performance test strategies. Design and implement performance test plans for Microservices and APIs. Validate performance using REST APIs and front-end interfaces. Create, manage, and execute JMeter or LoadRunner scripts for test execution. Generate and manage appropriate test data. Set up and manage test execution using local or distributed test environments. Monitor and analyze system behavior during tests using observability tools. Identify and report performance bottlenecks and assist developers in tuning. Participate in defect triage meetings and highlight performance-related issues. Collaborate closely with developers, QA leads, and product owners. Track test results, metrics, and provide detailed reporting. Log and manage defects in JIRA or equivalent tools. Ensure tests are aligned with release timelines and performance criteria. Escalate performance risks and issues in a timely manner. Required: Experience with Windows and Unix/Linux environments. 3+ years' experience in performance testing (execution and analysis). Solid understanding of system performance: CPU, memory, network, and IO. Familiarity with Java performance concepts: garbage collection, profiling, heap analysis. REST, SOAP, Swagger/OpenAPI. JMeter (must have) / HP LoadRunner (good to have). Prometheus + Grafana (good to have). Wiremock or other service virtualization tools. Ability to work independently and take ownership of performance testing tasks. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good written and verbal communication skills. Willingness to challenge assumptions and advocate for performance quality. Comfortable working in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environments. Experience with Docker containers and virtualized test environments. Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Cloudbees). Exposure to scripting or programming (preferably in Java, Python, or Groovy). Experience in Financial Services / Banking industry is a plus. Ability to refactor and optimize JMeter scripts. Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science / IT or related field. ISTQB Foundation or Advanced Level in Performance Testing is an advantage.
