We are looking for an experienced HP NonStop Systems Engineer to design, enhance, and support high-performance transactional applications running on the HP NonStop platform. In this role, you will play a critical part in building resilient and scalable systems that enable secure, real-time processing for enterprise environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver optimized solutions, ensure system reliability, and maintain strong performance standards across production workloads.

What You’ll Do

• Develop, enhance, and maintain applications operating on HP NonStop environments.
• Optimize system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure seamless transaction processing.
• Work extensively with COBOL, HPNS utilities, and supporting tools to build robust and scalable solutions.
• Manage, configure, and improve database structures within Enscribe and OLTP ecosystems.
• Utilize scripting tools such as TACL to automate workflows and improve operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and infrastructure teams to support system upgrades and deployments.
• Maintain secure and compliant development practices aligned with enterprise standards.

What You’ll Bring

• Proven hands-on experience working with HP NonStop (Tandem) platforms.
• Strong development background in COBOL within HPNS or enterprise environments.
• Proficiency with HP NonStop utilities including FUP, Inspect, Pathway, and associated management tools.
• Solid understanding of Enscribe database, OLTP processing, and high-availability architectures.
• Experience with TACL scripting for automation and operational support.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and mission-critical environment.
