Requirements
About This Role
The Talent Acquisition Specialist at Armory is an execution -heavy, high -ownership role. You will run hiring end -to -end across every vertical we hire for, engineering (Hardware & Software), operations & manufacturing (Production), corporate (Finance, BD), Founder's Office, and more.
You will work shoulder -to -shoulder with the HR team, founders, and technical interviewers. You are not a coordinator. You will source, screen, drive interview loops, push candidates to closure, and protect Armory's hiring bar like it is your own.
This is the role where you stop being a recruiter who 'manages requisitions' and start being one who actually builds a company that further builds on great things for the nation.
Must Have
- 2–5 years of hands -on, end -to -end recruitment experience (sourcing through offer)
- Experience hiring across multiple function types, at least two of: engineering, manufacturing/operations, corporate (finance/BD), or leadership roles
- Strong sourcing chops: LinkedIn Recruiter, Naukri, GitHub, niche communities, referrals, Boolean search; you can find candidates others can't
- Demonstrated ability to screen for depth, not just keywords; you can tell a real engineer from a polisher with jargon in a 20 -minute call
- Clean, direct, written, and spoken communication is crucial
- Ownership of your funnel metrics - you know your conversion rates from sourced â screened â offered â joined, and you actively work to improve them
- Comfort with ambiguity - JDs evolve, priorities shift, and you adapt without losing momentum. Sometimes you may even create a JD post, interviewing a candidate you did not think there was an opening for.
Bonus Points For
- Hiring experience in defence, aerospace, hardware, deep -tech, or manufacturing -led organisations
- Experience hiring for niche technical roles (FPGA, RF, embedded firmware, DSP)
- Exposure to early -stage startup hiring
- Familiarity with ATS tools, structured interview scorecards, and data -driven recruitment
- A track record of closing senior or hard -to -fill roles within tight timelines
What Will Make You Successful in This Role
- You are a driver, not a passenger - you move candidates and roles forward without being chased
- You hunt; you do not wait for inbound. Most of your best hires will come from sourcing, not from a job board
- You are deeply mindful of who you put in front of the interview panel - every weak resume forwarded wastes the team's time and lowers the bar
- You communicate like a professional adult with high -stakes ownership
- You act today, not tomorrow; a candidate not contacted in 24 hours is a candidate already lost to someone else
- You protect Armory's hiring bar even when the pressure is to fill seats and be very selective with who you hire; a wrong hire costs more than an open seat
- You respond to every single candidate on a timely basis
How Will We Set You Up for Success?
- Live Hiring: You will own real, open, mission -critical roles from day one. Minimal shadowing, no 'training projects'.
- Access to Tools: Access to LinkedIn, premium job boards, ATS, and any sourcing tool you can justify
- Access to Decision -Makers: Direct line to the HR Lead, founders, and hiring managers, no gatekeepers, no email chains to nowhere
- Supportive Team: You will be surrounded by interviewers and leaders who genuinely care about hiring well
- A leadership team: An A -level leadership that values judgement over process theatrics
- Working Vibe: A high -ownership culture that prioritises speed, honesty, and outcomes over optics, politics, or performative processes.

Tips
Irrespective of you applying at Armory or not, some of the following tips will definitely help you in your job search.
How to get hired
Targeted Applications: Ensure your application is tailored specifically for the job you're applying for by understanding its requirements and showcasing relevant experiences and skills. Apply for THIS job, not some job.
Quality Over Quantity: Instead of applying to 100 jobs casually, it’s far better to apply to 4 seriously.
Stand out: Most people don’t put any efforts in applying to jobs, their applications look exactly the same. It’s easy to stand out from them just by putting a little effort and showcasing your relevant experience and interest for the said job.
How to NOT get hired
If you cover letter starts with _“Honestly, I possess all the skills and experience that you’re looking for”_, then you are not going to make it.
We wish you the best in your job search!
