Job Description - Talent Management Specialist III

Role Summary

The Talent Development Specialist III is an experienced program operator and consultative partner responsible for coordinating and executing key learning, talent development, and performance management initiatives across o9. This role manages complex projects, collaborates with HRBPs and functional leaders to understand capability needs, oversees vendor execution, and ensures consistent, high-quality delivery of programs. The Specialist provides insights, maintains dashboards and SOPs, and drives adoption of systems and processes through clear enablement and strong stakeholder engagement.

This role requires strong project management, attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to consult with the business while executing programs efficiently and independently.

What You Will Do

Program & Project Coordination

  • Lead coordination and end-to-end execution of talent development programs, including timelines, logistics, communications, vendor management, and participant engagement.
     

  • Maintain detailed project plans, monitor progress, identify risks, and escalate issues as needed to ensure high-quality delivery.
     

  • Ensure program execution aligns with o9’s goals and preferred delivery formats (virtual, in-person, blended).
     

Business Collaboration & Consulting

  • Partner with HRBPs and functional leaders to gather insights on skill gaps, capability needs, and business priorities.
     

  • Recommend learning approaches, vendor solutions, and program formats that best support identified needs.
     

  • Serve as a resource to stakeholders by explaining processes, providing guidance, and supporting decision-making.
     

Vendor & Platform Management

  • Evaluate vendors, platforms, and learning designs based on quality, fit, and business requirements.
     

  • Serve as a liaison between internal teams and vendors to scope, pilot, refine, and deliver training solutions.
     

  • Manage vendor deliverables, communications, and execution expectations throughout the program lifecycle.
     

Enablement, Systems & Process Support

  • Create internal enablement materials, job aids, system guides, and process playbooks to support learning and performance programs.
     

  • Support system launches and process updates, helping employees and managers adopt new workflows and tools.
     

  • Ensure all materials, content, and documentation are accurate, accessible, and up to date.
     

Performance Management Support

  • Coordinate performance management cycle activities, including timeline creation, communications, reminders, and system readiness.
     

  • Maintain SOPs, FAQs, job aids, and training materials related to performance processes.
     

  • Analyze cycle outcomes and participant feedback to identify process improvements.
     

Data, Dashboards & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain and evolve dashboards that track program participation, adoption, skill focus areas, and overall impact.
     

  • Use feedback, KPIs, industry trends, and vendor insights to recommend program improvements.
     

  • Provide insights and updates to HR leadership to support decision-making and future investment.
     

Operational Excellence

  • Maintain accurate records of program activities, vendor execution, stakeholder inputs, and participant engagement.
     

  • Support broader HR and Talent initiatives as capacity allows.

Experience

  • 6+ years of experience in Talent Development, Learning & Development, HR Program Management, or related HR functions.

  • Experience designing or adapting learning materials, facilitator guides, job aids, and system/process enablement content for diverse audiences with learning tools.  (e.g., Canva, Articulate Rise/Storyline, Adobe Express, Camtasia).

  • Hands-on experience supporting the development and delivery of training programs (virtual, in-person, blended).

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with SMEs to translate business requirements into clear learning objectives and content.

  • Experience using instructional design principles (e.g., ADDIE, adult learning theory, 

  • Experience working with HR systems (e.g., Workday)

  • Experience working in a global environment 

  • scenario-based learning) at a practical, applied level.

  • Experience with external content platforms (e.g., LinkedIn Learning, Coursera) and supporting vendor-led instructional design or customization.

  • Prior experience supporting performance management cycle enablement (guides, training materials, communications) preferred.
