Indorama Ventures is a global sustainable chemical company operating across multiple verticals such as Combined PET, Fibers, and Integrated Oxides & Derivatives. The Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Kolkata, India supports worldwide operations through centralized IT, Finance and business process services.


Position Overview


Indorama's Global Capability Center (GCC) is building out its SCM-Procurement function within GCC, which will support on both transactional and tactical procurement processes including Logistics


The team is seeking procurement/logistics/SCM professionals/ buyers/ analysts to join our growing procurement team. This position is located in GCC Office, Kolkata.  We are looking for highly motivated professionals with demonstrated capabilities and relevant experience. A successful individual in this role must have strong negotiating, communication, attention to detail, presentation, reporting & demonstrated related work experience with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.   


Lead a team of procurement professionals to deliver sourcing, purchasing, supplier management, and procurement support services across global regions while driving standardization, process excellence, digital adoption, stakeholder satisfaction, compliance, and value creation.


What You'll Do


Key Responsibilities


Team Lead - Procurement is responsible for ensuring compliance & best practices are followed.This role entails people management, operational execution, stakeholder management, continuous process improvement and technology integration to automate and scale transactional and tactical processes, global transition NAMR, EMEA, APAC.



  • People Leadership
    Manage a team of Procurement Analysts/Specialists.
    Set team objectives and KPIs.
    Conduct monthly performance reviews.
    Develop training and capability-building plans.
    Drive employee engagement and retention.
    Ensure cross-training and backup planning.
    Support succession planning.


 



  • Talent Development
    Coach team members on sourcing and negotiation techniques.
    Build category expertise within the team.
    Identify high-potential employees for growth opportunities.


 



  • Governance & Compliance
    Ensure 100% compliance to procurement policies.
    Support internal and external audit requirements.
    Monitor segregation of duties and approval compliance.
    Ensure procurement controls are adhered to.
    Manage supplier due diligence processes.


 



  • Digital Procurement & Analytics
    Drive adoption of GEP/SAP/Ariba/ServiceNow platforms.
    Develop procurement dashboards.
    Perform spend analytics and opportunity identification.
    Leverage automation and AI-enabled solutions.
    Monitor procurement performance metrics.


 



  • Process Excellence
    Identify process improvement opportunities.
    Lead Lean/Six Sigma initiatives.
    Drive standardization across regions.
    Improve turnaround times and productivity.
    Support migration and transition projects.

What We're Looking For


Educational Qualifications


Four-year college degree or equivalent experience


Experience



  • 8-12 years Procurement/Sourcing experience. Minimum 2-3 years people management experience. Experience in Shared Services/GCC/GBS environment. SAP or equivalent ERP exposure.

  • Must be able to multi-task and pro-actively identify solutions

  • Must have working experience in S4 HANA, MM Module. Ariba, Ivalua, Coupa, Zycus, GEP, Infor M3, BAAN or any procurement platform experience is preferred.

  • Must have excellent computer skills including Power Point (PPT), Excel Advance Formulae /Pivot, and Word

  • Sound knowledge of MDG Vendor master/material master creation is preferable.

  • Works independently with limited direct supervision

  • Energetic, self-motivated, dependable individual with good communication and people skills

  • Experience with ERP system SAP is preferred


 


 


Technical skills


Procurement or Supply Chain Experience with Domain Knowledge and technical know how on SAP, GEP/Ariba/Ivalua/Copua/Zycus, Power BI, Excel, PPT
