Job Description

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Delegate duties and tasks within the team.


• Review completed tasks to ascertain compliance with standards.


• Monitor all team members and provide necessary advice and guidance.


• Coach all team members and motivate them to produce desired results.


• Keep up with trends in the constantly evolving information technology industry.


• Perform regular IT audit to discover areas of weaknesses and fortify them.


• Work alongside other departments to achieve company goals and visions.


• Provide solution to any complex IT related challenges in the organization.


• Perform regular appraisal of team member’s performance and devise strategies to help with improvement.


• Carry out in-depth research to reveal new and better methods of handling functions within the department.


• Ensure that the company’s data and information are protected from unauthorized access.


• Analyze and resolve technical and application problems.


• Client oriented approach to problem solving.


• Effectively communicating with the clients on regular basis.

Required Skills & Attributes:

• Very strong Java development background with emphasis on performance, scalability, reliability, extensibility, maintainability and succinctness.


• In-depth understanding of Application servers such as JBoss, Tomcat, Weblogic or Websphere environments and experience working with one of the IDEs such as Eclipse, Netbeans, IntelliJ IDEA etc.


• Experience with Spring MVC, Hibernate is a must.


• Experience in the enterprise DB like Oracle, SQL Server or MySQL along with ANSI/Native SQL knowledge is a must


• Experience with JSON and Restful APIs.


• Open source project contributions.


• Ability to listen to his/her team members and communicate instructions effectively.


• Ability to lead, direct and control team members.


• Ability to handle multiple jobs at the same time.


• Ability to take proactive steps in managing problems.


• Must be very security conscious and do all it takes to avoid sensitive data falling into wrong hands.


• Ability to effectively handle stress, pressures, and challenges.


• Have in-depth knowledge of management goals and visions and work in line with team members to achieve them.


• Ability to have authority but tactful with it.


• Exceptional presentation and Communication skills.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Minimum Requirements 6+ years’ experience as a Software Developer


• Prior experience in a technical leadership position


• Must have experience in effectively managing technical teams.


• College or University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
