Job Description

Role Purpose

Lead fund accounting operations for private debt funds, ensuring accurate NAVs, investor reporting, capital activity processing, financial statement preparation, and audit support while managing a team of accountants.

Key Responsibilities

Fund Accounting

• Review P&L and approve NAV and fee calculations


• Review loan accruals, interest income, fee income and realized/unrealized gains.


• Oversee fund-level accounting and period-end close.


• Review complex journal entries and reconciliations.

Investor Reporting

• Review capital calls and distribution calculations.


• Prepare LP statements and carried interest calculations


• Review waterfall calculations.


• Calculate IRR, MOIC and other important investor reporting ratios.

Governance & Controls

• Manage audit requests.


• Drive SOX/control compliance.


• Implement process improvements and automation opportunities.

Team Leadership

• Coach junior accountants.


• Manage stakeholder communications.


• Review work allocation and productivity.

    Preferred Experience

    
    
    
    
    • Qualified CA mandatory.
    
    
    • 7 to 9 years’ experience.
    
    
    • Private Debt / Private Credit / PE Fund Accounting.
    
    
    • Geneva, Investran, Yardi or similar platforms
    
    
    • Strong understanding of relevant accounting standards and investment fund reporting.
