Role: Team Member - Maintenance- VEPT

Division: VEPT

Function: VEPT - Manufacturing - Maintenance Machining

Reporting into:   Area Manager Maintenance

Level:  Junior Manager

Purpose of the Role

The position exists in order to execute electrical  Maintenance for machine shop for managing individual shift for electrical maintenance, improve the availability of the line, executing PM, managing mechanical spare parts with the objective of improving the Overall Line Efficiency within the limits of Maintenance cost and Inventory as per VEPT Business Plan.

Education

• Diploma- Mechanical, Automobile Engineering

Experience

• 3-7 years

Business Understanding

• Complete Knowledge of Machine Shop Setup and interface.


• Complete knowledge of machines related to Electrical maintenance perspective


• Very good knowledge of CNC, PLC drives and robot programming


• Very good knowledge of communication protocols & MES 


• Daily breakdown details and reporting


• Collaborate with team members in and outside of  function for loss analysis

Area of Responsibility

Operation Management

Attending Shift breakdowns, Electrical spares requirement and monitoring, Shift manpower planning, Preventive maintenance, daily Breakdown discussion, and Analysis., executing corrective measures to improve machine availability to improve MTTR, driving improvement actions through RCA, driving Preventive and Time-Based Maintenance to improve MTBF, electrical Spare parts Management. In order to Improve the line Overall effectiveness and effective utilization of as per the defined business standards.

Inventory and Maintenance Cost Reduction

Monitoring spare parts consumption, Identification of shortages and request for the same, planning and monitoring spare consumption pattern, inventory controls for maintenance spares, driving cost-effectiveness in maintenance spares, in-house maintenance repairs activity, cost-effective and alternate solutions for the replacement of maintenance spares. In order to meet the planned inventory reduction strategies and ensuring low cost and maintaining low lead-time.

Improvement in safety culture

Ensuring all safety measures are adhered to in the function, driving Behavior-Based Safety in the function as well as in the shop. Ensuring industrial safety regulations and adherence to the same. Taking care of safety audits and closing all the NCs on time. Elimination of hazards and accident-prone areas proactively by doing risk identification.In order to meet the safety culture of the company and ensuring reduction in incidents and meeting audit compliances.

Training and Coaching

Training new joiners on machine elements, training the technician on OPL, training Do and Don’ts of maintenance, training, and coaching of the new joiners on PLC and CNC programming, training of technician on the system and basics of electrical for improving the response time for the breakdown . In order to enhance and adhere to skill development and creating a world-class operations environment.
