We are seeking an experienced Tech Lead with strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot to lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable backend systems. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with ownership of architecture, code quality, and team mentoring. You will work closely with product managers, architects, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions while guiding developers and driving engineering best practices. This is a full-time opportunity based in Bangalore or Mumbai for professionals with a minimum of 6 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of high-performance backend applications using Java and Spring Boot
• Architect and implement scalable, secure, and maintainable microservices-based solutions
• Take ownership of system design decisions, technology selection, and architectural standards
• Collaborate with product, QA, DevOps, and frontend teams to ensure seamless end-to-end delivery
• Write clean, efficient, and testable code while enforcing coding standards and best practices
• Conduct regular code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve overall code quality
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive root-cause analysis and long-term fixes
• Ensure application performance, reliability, security, and scalability meet business needs
• Guide integration with databases, external services, APIs, and messaging systems
• Support CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with DevOps for smooth deployments and releases
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of learning, ownership, and collaboration
• Participate in sprint planning, estimations, and technical discussions in an agile environment

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Minimum 6+ years of professional experience in backend development with strong hands-on expertise in Java
• Deep experience with Spring Boot and related frameworks for building enterprise-grade applications
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns, and clean architecture principles
• Proven experience leading technical teams or acting as a go-to person for complex technical decisions
• Hands-on experience with microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems
• Solid knowledge of databases (SQL and/or NoSQL) and data modeling concepts
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, containerization, and modern deployment practices is an advantage
• Experience working in agile or fast-paced product development environments
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to balance technical excellence and business priorities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to explain complex ideas clearly
• A proactive mindset with high ownership, accountability, and attention to detail
