Job Title: Tech Lead Application Delivery - SAP MM

Location: Bangalore

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced SAP MM Solution Architect / Lead Consultant to join our 
IT Business Solutions team. The Business Solutions Architect will act as a subject matter 
expert to the SAP MM-Sourcing team, providing project and operational support across the 
SAP MM/Sourcing modules and their associated applications. The candidate will partner 
with Procurement, Purchasing, Sourcing, and Materials Management stakeholders to 
understand business requirements, evaluate technical feasibility, design scalable SAP 
solutions, and drive end-to-end delivery. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and develop solutions that support the business within Kennametal's 
  technology framework. 
• Evaluate the technical and economic feasibility of proposed solutions. 
• Research and evaluate alternative technology solutions. 
• Using a matrixed team, plan, schedule, and deliver business solutions. 
• Help drive the best out of the sourcing and financial management systems. 
• Liaison with other internal IT and business functions to comprehensively resolve 
  issues. 
• Identify technology development improvement opportunities and prepare action 
  plans. 
• Identify and implement new uses of information technologies to assist Kennametal 
  in meeting its strategic objectives. 
• Manage projects as needed, typically less than a year in duration. 
• Plan and manage own work and others as required. 
• Ensure quality, timeliness, efficiency, and effectiveness of deliverables while 
  providing regular and accurate status updates to business areas and line manager. 
• Provide expertise on strategic issues and projects. 
• Manage and participate in cross-functional teams and SAP projects. 
• Represent and promote Kennametal through participation in technology community 
  activities, industry groups, and associations. 
• Collaborate with business teams to gather and analyze procurement and material 
  management requirements. 
• Design and deliver SAP MM / procurement solutions aligned with business 
  objectives and enterprise standards. 
• Lead solution architecture, configuration, development coordination, testing, 
  deployment, and support activities. 
• Evaluate technical feasibility and recommend optimal solutions. 
• Drive end-to-end procurement processes including:
  
o Purchase Requisitions 
o RFQs & Quotations 
o Purchase Orders 
o Contracts & Scheduling Agreements 
o Vendor Management 
o Goods Receipts 
o Inventory Management 
o Invoice Verification 
o Stock Transfers 
o Subcontracting & Consignment Processes 
o Third-Party Procurement 
o Services Procurement 
o Procurement Analytics and Reporting 

• Work closely with cross-functional teams and integrated SAP modules. 
• Support continuous process improvement and SAP best practices. 

Required Experience & Skills:

• 10+ years of SAP experience with strong expertise in SAP MM (ECC and/or 
  S/4HANA). Workflow and Cross-Module Integrations (SD, PP, FI/CO, WM/EWM) 
• Proven experience in Purchasing, Procurement, Sourcing, and Materials 
  Management processes. 
• Hands-on experience across the complete project lifecycle, including requirements 
  gathering, solution design, testing, deployment, and production support. 
• Experience working with global stakeholders and business teams. 
• Excellent written and oral communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. 
• Ability to work in a multi-tasked environment. 
• Ability to manage a team and work in a team environment, as well as independently. 
• Ability to work with internal business partners to understand and define business 
  requirements, manage expectations, and implement solutions that meet business 
  objectives. 
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. 
• Commitment to detail, quality, and continuous improvement under tight deadlines. 

Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree from a recognized university in: 
• B.Tech / B.E. 
• B.Sc. 
• B.Com. 
• MBA 
• M.Sc. 
• MCA 
• Equivalent degree in IT, Supply Chain, Business, or related disciplines
