Technical Lead (MERN Stack)

About the Role 
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead  Evify's technology strategy, product development, engineering operations, and digital  transformation. 
The CTO will take overall ownership of technology across our SaaS platform, Rider &  Team Apps, AI-powered products, DMT (Data Monetization Tool), and internal  automation systems. The role requires strong technical leadership along with the ability to  manage in-house teams, external development partners, and technology vendors.  

Key Responsibilities 
• Define and execute Evify's technology strategy and product roadmap.  
• Lead development and scaling of the Hive SaaS platform, Rider App, Team App  and Hive Copilot.  
• Drive the development and commercial deployment of DMT and AI/data-driven  products.  
• Build automation solutions across Operations, Finance, HR, Fleet and Marketing.  
• Ensure high standards of system reliability, scalability, performance and security.  
• Lead architecture, API development, databases, cloud infrastructure and technical integrations.  
• Manage and evaluate in-house engineering teams, external developers, vendors  and technical consultants.  
• Establish strong practices for code quality, documentation, testing, deployment and disaster recovery.  
• Build and mentor the technology team, including hiring senior engineering and  DevOps talent.  
• Work closely with the CEO and leadership team to align technology with business  and commercial objectives.  
• Monitor technology KPIs, project milestones, delivery timelines and product performance.  

Required Skills & Experience 
• 7+ years of experience in software/product development, with significant technical leadership experience.  
• Strong expertise in MERN stack – MongoDB, Express.js, React.js and Node.js.  
• Hands-on experience with React Native and mobile application development.  
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, system architecture, databases and data modelling.  
• Strong experience with AWS/cloud infrastructure, DevOps and deployment.  
• Experience managing engineering teams and external development  partners/vendors.  
• Strong knowledge of AI/automation, data platforms or SaaS products.  
• Understanding of security, scalability, system monitoring and disaster recovery.  
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making and communication skills.  

Preferred / Good to Have 
• Experience with IoT, GPS/telematics or mobility/logistics technology.  
• Experience in AI, computer vision or video intelligence.  
• Experience building multi-tenant SaaS platforms.  
• Knowledge of Redis, CI/CD and high-volume data pipelines.  
• Experience taking products from prototype to commercial deployment.  
• Previous experience in a CTO / Head of Technology / Engineering leadership role.  

Key Success Areas 
The role will be measured on system reliability, product delivery, DMT 
commercialisation, automation, security, engineering team development, vendor 
delivery and technical documentation. The offer letter specifically targets 99.5% platform 
uptime, MTTR below 4 hours, 70% workflow reduction through automation, a 5+ member 
engineering team, >85% vendor on-time delivery and zero critical security incidents.
