This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Technical Lead, Python based in India.
This role is designed for a seasoned engineering leader who can shape architecture, guide technical direction, and drive the delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performance systems. You will act as a key decision-maker across the full software lifecycle, from early design to production deployment, ensuring engineering excellence at every stage. The position involves close collaboration with product, design, and engineering stakeholders to align technical execution with business goals and client outcomes. You will also play a critical role in mentoring engineers, strengthening technical practices, and elevating engineering standards across teams. This is a highly impactful leadership role where you will influence architecture beyond a single squad and contribute to enterprise-grade solutions across domains. Accountabilities:
- Lead the technical direction, architecture decisions, and end-to-end implementation across the development lifecycle
- Ensure solutions are well-balanced across performance, scalability, security, robustness, and business impact
- Oversee code quality practices including reviews, branching strategies, pull requests, and repository management standards
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering stakeholders to define architecture and influence product direction
- Drive resolution of complex technical issues with a focus on system reliability, security, and maintainability
- Mentor and guide engineers through technical leadership, coaching, and participation in engineering communities of practice
- Contribute to documentation, technical governance, and continuous improvement of engineering practices
Requirements:
- 10+ years of software development experience with strong expertise in Python and related frameworks
- Strong experience with PostgreSQL, AWS, and Docker-based development and deployment environments
- Solid understanding of frontend fundamentals (JavaScript, HTML, CSS)
- Experience working with OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and modern authentication/authorization protocols
- Strong knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, SOLID principles, and secure coding practices (OWASP)
- Experience leading engineering teams in Agile environments and driving technical delivery end-to-end
- Ability to define, validate, and evolve system architecture across teams and complex projects
- Experience with UML, C4, or similar architectural modeling approaches
- Strong mentoring mindset with proven ability to develop engineering talent
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, cloud-native architectures, and non-relational databases is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with distributed global teams
