This role partners closely with Packaging Engineering (PDE), Product Development, Assembly Integration, Quality, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing sites to deliver programs on schedule, cost, yield, and quality targets.\n\nThe PTPM serves as the single point of accountability for complex, cross\u2011functional packaging initiatives, ensuring alignment across global stakeholders and disciplined execution through structured program management.\n\n## Key Responsibilities\n\n### Program \u0026 Execution Leadership\n\n * Own end\u2011to\u2011end program management for advanced packaging initiatives (e.g., 3DS, FC\u2011BGA, advanced wirebond, 2.5D/3D packages) from concept through HVM ramp\n * Define and manage program plans, milestones, critical paths, and dependencies\n * Drive execution against schedule, cost, yield, and quality KPIs\n * Proactively identify technical and execution risks, lead mitigation plans, and drive decision closure\n\n\n\n### Cross\u2011Functional \u0026 Cross\u2011Site Coordination\n\n * Partner with Packaging PDE, Assembly Integration R\u0026D, Product Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Equipment, and Manufacturing sites\n * Lead global, cross\u2011site program coordination (e.g., recipe/process transfer, site readiness, ramp alignment)\n * Facilitate governance forums, technical reviews, and executive readouts\n\n\n\n### New Product Introduction (NPI)\n\n * Drive NPI execution for packaging technologies, including:\n * Process and package readiness\n * Deliverable tracking (PRD/TRD/PITD/QATD or equivalent)\n * Risk \u0026 maturity assessments\n * Ensure alignment to business priorities, customer requirements, and manufacturing constraints\n\n\n\n### Technical Program Management\n\n * Translate technical development work into executable plans with clear ownership\n * Track progress across process development, equipment readiness, tooling, materials, and yield improvements\n * Support technology transfer, scale\u2011up, and factory deployment of new packaging capabilities\n\n\n\n### Communication \u0026 Stakeholder Management\n\n * Provide clear, concise, executive\u2011ready program updates\n * Maintain single source of truth for program status, issues, and decisions\n * Influence without authority and align diverse stakeholders around common objectives\n\n\n\n### Continuous Improvement \u0026 Best Practices\n\n * Drive program management best practices, standardization, and lessons learned\n * Support transformation initiatives (automation, dashboards, data\u2011driven execution)\n * Mentor junior program managers where applicable\n\n\n\n## Qualifications\n\n### Education\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s or Master\u2019s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Materials, Electrical, Chemical, Semiconductor\u2011related fields)\n * PMP or equivalent certification preferred (not mandatory)\n\n\n\n### Experience\n\n * 8\u201315+ years in semiconductor industry with exposure to assembly / packaging / manufacturing\n * 5+ years of technical program or project management experience in complex, cross\u2011functional environments\n * Strong familiarity with:\n * Advanced packaging technologies (FC, WB, HBM, 2.5D/3D)\n * Semiconductor NPI and manufacturing flows\n * Yield, quality, and reliability fundamentals\n\n\n\n### Core Skills\n\n * Strong program execution discipline\n * Ability to operate at the intersection of technical depth and schedule control\n * Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive presence\n * Proven ability to manage ambiguity, competing priorities, and global teams\n\n\n\n## Success Metrics\n\n * On\u2011time delivery of packaging programs\n * Smooth NPI and HVM ramp with minimized technical escapes\n * Effective cross\u2011site alignment and issue resolution\n * High credibility with engineering and leadership teams\n\n\n\n## Typical Interfaces\n\n * Packaging Development Engineering (PDE / ATPDE)\n * Assembly Integration R\u0026D\n * Manufacturing Engineering \u0026 Operations\n * Quality \u0026 Reliability\n * Supply Chain \u0026 Procurement\n * Program Management Offices (PMO)\n\n\n\nJob Profile(s):\n\nProduct Development Manager 2\n\nRelocation level: (TBD)\n\nBefore Getting Started \nPlease review Micron\u2019s Internal Job Application Policy on your regional PeopleNow Career Opportunities page before searching and applying for jobs.
