Job Description - Technical Sales Manager

We are seeking a results -driven Technical Sales Manager to lead technical pre -sales efforts and drive revenue growth. The role requires a blend of technical expertise and sales acumen to engage with clients, understand their business challenges, and propose suitable IT solutions.
The ideal candidate will collaborate with sales, product, engineering, and delivery teams to create winning proposals and close high -value deals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales & Revenue Growth
  • Drive new business acquisition and expand existing client accounts
  • Meet and exceed revenue and sales targets
  • Identify market opportunities and develop go -to -market strategies
  • Technical Pre -Sales
  • Understand client requirements and provide tailored IT solutions
  • Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations
  • Prepare technical proposals, RFP/RFI responses, and solution documents
  • Work with engineering teams to design scalable solutions
  • Client Engagement
  • Build strong relationships with CXOs, IT Heads, and key stakeholders
  • Lead discovery meetings and requirement discussions
  • Address technical objections and provide consultative selling
  • Team & Strategy
  • Collaborate with marketing for lead generation campaigns
  • Mentor pre -sales engineers or sales executives
  • Provide market feedback to product and leadership teams


Requirements

  • Strong understanding of IT solutions (Cloud, SaaS, AI/ML, ERP, CRM, Cybersecurity, or Custom Software Development)
  • Knowledge of Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP preferred)
  • Experience with APIs, system integrations, and enterprise architecture basics
  • Ability to prepare technical solution documents
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / IT / Computer Science
  • MBA (Marketing / Sales) preferred
  • Relevant certifications in Cloud / Sales (added advantage)
Sales & Business Skills:
  • Proven track record in B2B IT sales
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Experience handling enterprise accounts
  • Knowledge of sales CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho CRM, etc.)
Soft Skills:
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Strategic thinking and problem -solving ability
  • Leadership and team management skills
