Technician II

## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nRequirement of this position is to perform testing and provide assistance to engineering personnel to setup, install and on-time completion of accurate product testing in accordance with specific test procedures as defined by the product engineering function at Mobility Group engineering divisions globally. The position requires to :\n\na) Perform test setups in completion of specific and standard test processes for Automotive Powertrain i.e. Preferably transmission, hydraulic systems and experience in engine, clutch \u0026 differential will be added advantage \nb) Complete test requests according to specified test requests with minimal down time \nc) Implementation of corrective action to test setups as required by established lab procedures or test requests, or when performance falls below acceptable limits \nd) Communicate test programs with engineering appropriately to clarify purpose of testing and the results of ongoing tests \ne) Take ownership of small projects, develop custom fixtures \u0026 continuously improve their skill set \nf) Maintain close liaison with other technicians to standardize lab practices within group and with other groups in facility to ensure a safe working environment \ng) Maintain close liaison with other technicians to standardize lab practices within product group and with other groups to complete test projects with a high degree of quality and efficiency \nh) Maintain a clean and safe working environment in the test lab that is a showpiece for customer visits. Continually work to improve the presentation of the lab for this purpose \ni) Strive to meet test lab performance targets established in Balanced Score Card and ensure ISO/ IATF compliance\n\n\u2022 Analyzing mechanical assembly issues related to automotive engine components is most preferred. Additional experience in engine testing will be an advantage. \n\u2022 Prepare the engine/cylinder head test setup \u2013 includes mechanical assembly such as engine readiness, cylinder head assembly and installation. \n\u2022 Troubleshooting elementary product and test rig issues and performing data analysis required by the product group. FAMOS, Altair software knowledge will be added advantage. \n\u2022 Understanding of data acquisition systems, hardware and software that are being used for testing like Oscilloscope, Yokogawa, Proxy sensor connection etc. \n\u2022 Have good knowledge of type II, type III \u0026 type V engine assembly \u0026 lash setting procedures. \n\u2022 Proven experience in diesel or gasoline engine valve train testing or related automotive testing. \n\u2022 Good understanding of diesel/ gasoline engine systems \u0026 its components. \n\u2022 Ability to fix any minor issues with test rigs and lab and work with his peer engineer to improve or develop any new methods solving the issues. \n\u2022 Reading and Creating fixture drawings using Auto CAD / Pro Engineer/ CREO. \n\u2022 Articulating and generating good technical reports based on test observations. \n\u2022 Train and monitor fellow technicians and drive completion of tests in prescribed time frame. \n\u2022 Work with engineers within group to define and perform custom testing as requested by customer.\n\n## Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 7-8 Years of experience in relevant hands-on experience in Electrical Lab R\u0026D Testing\n\n## Skills:\n\n\u2022 Experience in LV/MV Switchgear Powertrain R\u0026D testing is most desirable. Preferably in GFCI, Dimmer, Sensors, USB Receptable and LED. \n\u2022 Performing Electrical, Overload, Dielectric Test and basic Functional Test \n\u2022 Awareness of testing i.e. test rigs, data acquisition, inspection etc. \n\u2022 Awareness and experience in following Safety \u0026 Quality Management Practices \n\u2022 Experience on fault identification and propose corrective actions \n\u2022 Clear understanding about sensors, electronic components of DAQ \u0026 control software i.e. LabVIEW etc. \n\u2022 Past experience in problem solving \u0026 continuous improvement through LEAN tool deployment for test equipment utilization and cost savings\n
