Technology Associate

About the Role

We are looking for a young, highly tech-savvy and curious IT & Technology Associate to join our team.

This is not a conventional IT support role limited to fixing computers, printers and networks.

While the person will assist with our day-to-day IT infrastructure, a significant part of the role will involve working on the company's technology, software, automation and digital transformation projects.

The successful candidate will work closely with management, our internal teams and external software developers/vendors to help translate business requirements into practical technology solutions.

We are open to hiring a fresh graduate. Previous corporate experience is not essential. What matters considerably more is technical aptitude, curiosity, problem-solving ability and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.

Key Responsibilities

Software & Development Projects

• Work with management on new software and technology initiatives across the company.


• Liaise with external software developers, vendors and implementation partners.


• Understand business requirements and communicate them clearly to developers.


• Follow up on development projects, testing, bugs, modifications and implementation.


• Test new software features before deployment and provide structured feedback.


• Assist with API integrations and connections between different business systems.


• Gradually develop the capability to work across front-end, back-end and full-stack development.


• Understand existing code and learn to make minor modifications or develop internal applications where required.

Automation & AI

• Identify repetitive processes that can be automated.


• Help develop workflows connecting different applications and departments.


• Explore APIs, webhooks and integration platforms.


• Experiment with practical applications of AI and automation within the business.


• Assist management in evaluating new technology platforms and software.

Business Systems

Work with and gradually develop expertise across the company's various technology platforms, including areas such as:

• CRM


• Accounting integrations


• HR systems


• Cargo and logistics software


• Courier systems


• Reporting and analytics


• Workflow automation


• Internal databases and applications

The candidate is not expected to know all these systems when joining. The ability to learn them quickly is more important.

IT Infrastructure & Support

The role will also provide support for our existing office IT environment, including:

• Computers and laptops


• Windows


• Microsoft 365


• Printers and scanners


• LAN/Wi-Fi/networking


• Internet connectivity


• Routers and access points


• User accounts and access


• Software installation


• Basic hardware troubleshooting


• Data backup and security


• Coordination with hardware/network vendors where required

The objective is not necessarily to personally repair every piece of equipment, but to take ownership of IT issues and ensure they are resolved.

Technical Background

Candidates may come from backgrounds such as:

B.Tech / BE – Computer Science / IT
BCA
BSc Computer Science
MCA
or another relevant technology qualification

Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Basic exposure to some of the following would be advantageous:

• HTML / CSS / JavaScript

• PHP / Node.js or similar technologies


• SQL and databases

We do not expect a fresher to know everything listed above.

A candidate who understands programming fundamentals and can demonstrate that they learn extremely quickly may be more suitable for us than someone with several years of experience but limited curiosity.
