Technology Engineer - Big Data SAS

We are looking for a highly experienced Technology Engineer with deep expertise in SAS Administration (both SAS 9.4 and SAS Viya) to join our growing technology team in Bengaluru. This role is critical in managing, optimizing, and securing SAS platforms across the enterprise.

About the Role:
As a SAS Administrator, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing SAS platforms to meet business needs, ensuring system performance, compliance, and availability. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including data scientists, analysts, and infrastructure teams to support analytics and data integration projects.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement SAS solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain SAS 9.4 and SAS Viya environments.
• Monitor system performance, logs, and processes to proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for performance and system failures.
• Ensure compliance with internal security policies by implementing encryption, authentication, and access control.
• Conduct regular security audits and apply necessary patches.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, deployments, and operational processes.
• Provide training and user support for SAS applications and tools.
• Collaborate with IT teams and business units on SAS-related projects, data integration, and reporting.

Technical Requirements:

• Proven experience (5+ years) as a SAS Administrator handling both SAS 9.4 and SAS Viya.
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix and Windows OS environments.
• Strong knowledge of tools including SAS Grid Manager, SAS Studio, Enterprise Guide, and SAS Visual Analytics.
• Experience deploying SAS Viya on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with database connectivity and ETL processes – Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server, Hadoop.
