We are seeking an experienced and strategic Technology Principal – Compliance, Legal & People to drive technology strategy and digital transformation across corporate functions. This role will focus on leveraging technology to strengthen compliance, legal operations, people processes, governance, and enterprise risk management.

The successful candidate will act as a bridge between business functions and technology teams, translating organizational requirements into scalable, secure, and efficient technology solutions. The role requires a strong understanding of Technology Strategy, Digital Transformation, and Enterprise Risk Management, combined with excellent stakeholder management and problem-solving capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Strategy & Transformation

• Develop technology strategies and roadmaps supporting Compliance, Legal, People, and corporate functions.
• Identify opportunities to digitize, automate, and optimize business processes.
• Evaluate existing applications and systems and recommend modernization opportunities.
• Lead technology-enabled transformation initiatives from requirements through implementation.
• Ensure technology investments are aligned with business priorities and measurable outcomes.

Compliance, Legal & Risk Technology

• Partner with Compliance and Legal teams to understand regulatory, governance, and operational requirements.
• Identify technology solutions that improve compliance monitoring, documentation, reporting, and audit readiness.
• Support implementation of appropriate technology controls and governance frameworks.
• Collaborate with risk teams to identify technology-related risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Ensure systems and processes support applicable security, privacy, regulatory, and compliance requirements.

People & HR Technology

• Partner with People/HR teams to identify opportunities for technology-driven improvements in employee processes.
• Support digitalization of employee lifecycle, workforce management, reporting, and people-related workflows.
• Evaluate HR technology platforms and integrations based on business requirements.
• Improve data accessibility, process efficiency, and reporting capabilities across people functions.

Enterprise Technology & Governance

• Align corporate-function technology initiatives with the broader enterprise technology strategy.
• Work with IT and enterprise architecture teams to ensure scalable and sustainable solutions.
• Evaluate applications, platforms, integrations, automation opportunities, and data flows.
• Support technology governance, security, access management, and risk-control frameworks.
• Maintain appropriate technology documentation, standards, and governance processes.

Stakeholder & Program Management

• Collaborate with senior stakeholders across Compliance, Legal, HR, Risk, IT, and business functions.
• Translate complex business requirements into practical technology solutions.
• Manage project priorities, timelines, dependencies, risks, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with internal technology teams and external vendors or implementation partners.
• Provide clear reporting on program progress, risks, outcomes, and improvement opportunities.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• 5+ years of experience in technology strategy, digital transformation, enterprise applications, technology consulting, or related roles.
• Strong understanding of Technology Strategy and Digital Transformation principles.
• Experience working with Compliance, Legal, HR/People, Risk, Governance, or other corporate functions.
• Good understanding of Enterprise Risk Management, technology controls, governance, and risk mitigation.
• Experience defining technology roadmaps and implementing technology-enabled business transformation.
• Strong understanding of enterprise applications, system integration, automation, data, and technology architecture.
• Ability to identify process inefficiencies and develop technology-driven solutions.
• Strong project and program management skills with experience managing cross-functional initiatives.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach to complex challenges.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
• Comfortable working with senior leadership and translating technical concepts into clear business outcomes.
