Job Description - Test Automation Engineer

What You'll Do

As a Test Automation Engineer at Suzega, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our AI -powered applications through comprehensive test automation. You'll build robust testing frameworks using Playwright and modern testing tools to deliver exceptional user experiences. The ideal candidate should possess strong automation expertise, a quality -first mindset, and passion for building systems that help AI work better with people.

Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Playwright for web applications
Create and execute comprehensive test suites covering functional, regression, integration, and end -to -end testing
Develop automated tests for AI -powered features including LLM integrations, conversational interfaces, and data pipelines
Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand requirements and define test strategies
Implement CI/CD integration for automated testing in deployment pipelines
Perform API testing using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar frameworks
Conduct performance and load testing to ensure application scalability
Identify, document, and track bugs using issue tracking systems (Jira, Linear, GitHub Issues)
Review code and test coverage to ensure quality standards
Create and maintain test documentation including test plans, test cases, and test reports
Monitor test execution results and provide clear reporting on quality metrics
Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives
Stay current with testing best practices, tools, and emerging technologies

Requirements

What You'll Bring

5+ years of experience in QA automation and software testing
Strong hands -on experience with Playwright for web automation testing
Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript or Python for test automation
Experience with test automation frameworks and design patterns (Page Object Model, BDD)
Solid understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REST APIs)
Experience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows
Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI)
Experience with API testing tools and frameworks
Familiarity with testing databases and data validation
Understanding of agile/scrum methodologies
Strong analytical and problem -solving skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross -functional teams
